Cheap alternative
Overall I like the camera the only issue is every couple of months it’ll start acting crazy so you have to delete the camera and add it back again. It takes so many tries for some reason to connect it. It’s absolutely annoying and time consuming.nabrin1996
Support is terrible
So the app itself is ok. Not the easiest I’ve encountered but not the hardest either. But the support when stuff does go wrong…. Simply terrible! I’ve paid for a cloud service for months now that I don’t get to experience, and they can’t help me? Best advice is make sure you get an sd card in your camera, without mine I would have nothing.Show lessjlweav17
Not bad
The app isn’t bad. I don’t use the paid services so there aren’t a lot of features that I have access to.
The app is reliable. It doesn’t crash. It adds cameras easily. You can easily upgrade the firmware on your cameras, and foscam does release upgrades from time to time even on older cameras, which is nice.
The reason I give it three stars is because 1. the interface is not intuitive. 2. My camera has a mini SD card but it doesn’t record based on alerts such as motion or sound. You need to buy cloud recording for that.
If you plan on buying cloud services then you’ll probably appreciate this app a little more than me.Show lessXXVI
Needs a ton of work.. this app is very frustrating
First off, it takes me opening and refreshing the app like 12 times before it says connected. Sometimes it connects right away, other times I have to keep trying and trying and trying. The video playback is awful on the app and can only watch ONE video and then have to restart the app to click the next one. If i try to watch one and then hit the next one, it stays at 0% loaded.. only way to see footage is by taking the sd card out and look on computer! Very very sillyShow lessCeedee16
Update eliminated free 8 hour sensing activity
I’m on a very limited income and I originally bought this very affordable camera about a year ago. Worked out perfectly with only 8 hours of recorded sensed activity for verifying occasional activity. Now the recent update will only allow purchased activity memory. Now nothing is being recorded without having to purchase an iCloud subscription. Now this camera is useless to me.Show lesstrawets64
Good and reliable app
I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I have been using this app for many years and it has becomes one of my most often used apps on my phone. It works really well. The developers have added more features and improved the reliability of the app in last few years. I want to say thank you for the good work. Very irregular connectivity to view cameras
This app is terrible. The camera system may be as well because if I finally do connect to view a camera, it times out in about a minute. Then you have to try to reconnect and that takes an annoyingly long time. I don’t recommend this app or the foscam wireless battery operated system. Camera sharing STILL broke
I click on each camera and share it with user in my family member list and I select permanent share. In less than 24 hours, the cameras are no longer being shared with the family member. This is a huge issue with allowing another user to view cameras in my account. Can this please be fixed ASAP.
It was fixed and suddenly broken again.

Great when it works for NEWER cameras
First off for this of us who have bought Foscam cameras in the past...this app will NOT work with them!!!! Why you can’t manually add older cameras is beyond me! The free WiFi camera app can do it JUST FINE! Why can’t foscam?
2nd...it’s SUPER spotty! Remember that “free WiFi camera app”...when I’m traveling and I want to check cameras....it works FINE! But the actual foscam app on foscam cameras...nope!!!! Cameras won’t show!
When it works it’s great...and why 2 stars...not 1....but 2 stars as it limits what cameras you use and it rarely works away from home while the other non-foscam camera app connects just fine!!!Show lessDJ Beav
Poor connection and support, extremely disappointed
The setup for the cameras was seamless; easy to install, easy to view on the app, and I THOUGHT everything was great, until I tried to view the cameras remotely. After multiple attempts to refresh and repeatedly closing and reopening the app, only one camera out of four would load and then froze after a few seconds. I have tried everything on their support page and their FAQ, read through the manual and quick install guide numerous times, but they are all poorly written, missing steps, or take you down another line of issues. Following my frustration, I attempted to contact support and they only respond once at 5:00 AM and then are never heard from again. I am truly disappointed with this app and company and would not recommend using their services. Use Ring, they are affordable, easy to use, guaranteed to work, and have amazing support.Show lesscklee24
