All of a sudden I need to pay

I’ve been using this app on and off for a long time and have always liked it it’s simple and easy to use. However for the first time I got a notification that a max 20 trips using the free version had been reached. I’ve never had that problem and I’ve been using it for a long time for doordash so there’s that

Worth every cent....

I have been using Driversnote with the Bluetooth beacon for a few years now. It really is just set and forget! Once a year, I download my data to send to my accountant, and that is about the only time I have to do anything! A great time saver and very clever...
A few weeks back, I got an email from Driversnote asking if everything was ok. I didn’t understand why at first, but after looking at my log, I could see no trips had been recorded for a while. Turns out, the battery on the beacon had died, and was no longer connecting to my phone. A quick battery swap and some manual trip entries later, I was back in business. Just another handy feature these guys had thought about. Lifesavers!!

Thanks for your review and 5 stars, Fly Guy! We know how much of a hassle these sorts of things can be, but at the end of the day it's important that you are able to keep tracking your trips as painlessly as possible. I'm glad that, with a couple of emails, you were able to get back to tracking your driving quickly. Best regards & happy tracking :) Mihali

Horrendously inaccurate

I opened two tracking apps at the same time to measure accuracy. There was a 6 mile difference. 45 miles on MileLogger versus 51 on the other app. I Google mapped to one of the addresses I went to and Google had it at exactly 15 miles and MileLogger had it at 13.1 miles. I also don’t like how one journey stops everytime I do. So one trip is cut into 8 pieces that I have to label each one. There’s no start stop button. It just automatically records when you move and that’s likely part of the recording issue. It doesn’t pick up when you start for awhile. Get a different app.

Good app

Driversnote is a good app. Glad it allows versatility to track or manually input trips. Would be useful if it allowed interim trips between start and return to final destination. I often take trips with several stops between but don’t seem to be able to include as one trip when done manually. I’ve had to create a separate trip for in between stops. Will keep fiddling around with it to see if I’m missing an option. If suggestions, would be glad to hear.

Upgrade

I like this app, it’s very simple and user friendly. I input my mileage in manually.

I am thinking about finding a different app because it would be so much easier to be able to click a round trip button, on this app I input my trip and then have to go back in and input my trip back.

Easy to use.

Great app. Had it stop as they only give you 20 trips a month then you pay, nothing in the notes when downloading but maybe I didn’t look hard enough!! By the time currency conversion is done it’s not worth it, it’s ok if you earn USD or Euro’s. Hopefully one day I’ll be using again.

Thanks for your feedback and review! Unfortunately, we are limited by Apple's rules as to where we can mention the free and paid options for Driversnote (as we don't take in-app payments). We mention this everywhere we are allowed to by Apple's rules - including multiple locations on our website, in emails, and in responses to reviews. Unfortunately, we aren't allowed to include it in the app description itself. We hope that Apple change their rules on this in future to allow us to make it even more clear. I also understand that you feel the price is too high for you to continue using Driversnote. We find that most of our subscribers find significantly more value from their increased reimbursements or tax deductions, however we also understand that we are not the cheapest in the market. We will always be here should you choose to return, and we definitely hope that you do. If you have any questions or require any support in future, please don't hesitate to email us at support@driversnote.com. Best regards & happy tracking :) Mihali

Works ok

Glad I’ve been tracking mileage manually and writing down my odometer too. While this is pretty accurate, it’s not completely accurate. Depending on the mileage I drive, it has been off 1-3 miles. While this doesn’t sound like it’s not a lot, it adds up when it’s 1-3 everyday for two months straight. Every mile counts when it comes to being reimbursed. If it being off a little bit doesn’t bother you then you probably would like this app. But I need something very accurate that would get me reimbursed for exactly what I drive. I looked closely at the map tracking to see why I was missing miles and if you look at the path, it shows a lot of cut corners. Anytime I turn it just shows me cutting through someone’s lawn instead of staying on the street. So I guess all these cut corners add up to 1+ miles depending on how much I’m driving that day. Good for a backup in case you forget to write down your odometer but I don’t solely rely on it. Or also great if you need an estimate and not exact.

Hi Queen Jazz, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having these discrepancies with your odometer. Have you checked that your location permissions are set to "Always" and that you have enabled Motion & Fitness tracking? These permissions are a key part of making Driversnote track each trip accurately. If you have checked the permissions, please contact support@driversnote.com as we will be able to assist you fully there. Best regards, Mihali

Excellent App Very impressive

I’ve been using the app about 2 weeks now and already I can see its amazing. I’d like to see you add a way and a place to keep recipes ...but for now I’m doing that with Evernote. I haven’t used the auto feature yet but I will but I don’t expect any problems I’ve already shared the app with friends and family.

Great app, even better customer support!

I use this app to track business and personal trips for a pharmaceutical company car. Not only does the beacon automatically start and end trips, complete with mileage, it auto detects the addresses to and from. The app allows you to choose the correct location and easily edit business names—all of which carries over the next visit to that location. The reports are professional, customizable, editable in PDF or excel formats.

The team at Driversnote is accessible, responsive and understanding to the needs of their costumers which, unfortunately, is rare in today’s world—a true customer-centric company that values you and your experience!

Finally

I’ve had to track miles for my work for 25+ years. That task has always been a major hassle, I’m sure I’ve cheated myself out of several $$ over the years. There are several apps out there, I’ve tried a lot of them. The others were not to my liking functionally or simply destroyed battery life.

I’ve used Driversnote note for four months now and really like it. Keep up the good work!!!

Pulled it out of the box, set it up. No issues at all 🎯🏌️
