  • This one is a winner!

I’ve searched high and low for an app that would help me stick to my writing schedule and track my progress. Word keeper does all those things and more! Love it so far!
  • I like it but...

I wish the interface was a little cleaner / minimalistic because the font choices are not my thing and neither is brown. But it’s also sometimes buggy and won’t let me update the calendar view. A suggestion would be to possibly release themes so users can have their own experience with it, especially if their paying for it.

Thanks for the review! We totally understand about the fonts and colors, which is one of the reasons why we are re-designing it from the ground up. In the new version there will be themes as you suggest and of course bug fixes. Hope you are finding it useful regardless and stay tuned for the update! 😊
  • Love this program

This program really keeps me motivated in my writing. Just to be able to keep track of my progress and know my goal date really helps you learn how you write as how to write better.
  • Amazing!

As a writer, I’m always looking for writing related apps to help with my craft. I was so, so, so (repeat) happy to have stumbled upon this one! I was hesitant to pay at first, because I often find myself not enjoying apps as much down the line, but it was money well spent.

I love the layout of the app, along with all of the graphs that break down your projects’ stats. It really helped me with NanoWriMo this year!

All writers should have this app! Don’t hesitate, just go for it. You will not be disappointed.

  • Excellent

Works very well. All the features I was looking for.
  • FANTASTIC!!

Holy cow, this app is fantastic! A total game changer for authors like me. As an indie author writing a 50,000 plus word book every single month, this app is priceless to me. It is so motivating and so stinking helpful! I only wish I had found it sooner in my writing career!!

I love everything about the app! While I don’t completely understand the burn down feature, everything else is very helpful!

There is one thing I would change if I could, but it would only make it better, not change anything as a whole. It would be super awesome to have some kind of a dashboard on the first page where it keeps track of your words per day and hour and stuff over time on all of your books rather than just the one you’re working on. Since I start new books so frequently, it’s a bummer to have to start over with my little graph and my high-score word count for biggest writing days. If this could happen, I would be even more in love with the app!

So anyway I highly recommend this app for all writers. It’s fantastic and incredibly useful, and it makes me about 5X more productive! It is so worth the money!

  • Great app and great support from developer

Use the app to track writing and had a question about it. Emailed the developer and got a quick response. Great!
  • Great app!

I’ve been searching for such an app for what seems a long time. It’s exactly what I was looking for and, so far, it works perfectly. I finally gave a word tracker that I can easily update. A great motivator to get to that word goal!
  • Great for PhD

Excellent app for tracking my PhD writing and good for goal setting. Highly recommend.
  • Better than Other Trackers / Share Function Broken

The interface is very nice, and the timer/tracker works more smoothly than other apps I've tried.

The Share function does not seem to work at all. First of all, getting to it is very awkward -- why not have an immediate option as soon as an entry is recorded? Better yet, why not have the option to do it automatically? Regardless, once you get to it, and click on either the Twitter or Facebook icon, the app says, "You need to have a [Twitter/Facebook] account. Sign in or create one." I have both, and I'm signed in to both, but I can't ever get past that. Public accountability is a great motivator, so having a usable sharing option should be critical to an app like this.

We are making a new version in which we are totally redoing the sharing (and much more) based on your feedback. We are aiming to have this version out at the end of January 2019. Thanks for the review and using Word Keeper! 😊
