Complete Crap!
So I got the hard sell at the Apple Store because they no longer carry drop cam. The sales person said this is the best camera on the market. Since I use everything apple I figure it should be great! WRONG!
This is a crap product worked for 2 days and now won't work no customer service at all and since I travel a lot ( which is why I wanted a camera) I won't be back in time to bring this piece of crap back to the Apple Store for a refund!
Do yourself a favor stay far away from anything with this company product are made like crap they work (no really) like crap and no customer service. Ok Withthings you got $200 out of me but never again. When will companies wake up that when you burn customers they don't come back and write these kinda of reviews.
This is junk stay away! You have been warned otherwise make your donation.

So after almost a week the top notch customer service rep emails me and ask if it could be my wifi or router. REALLY after reading all the prior review this seems to be a general theme work but then disconnects. Can't get past setup :/
Just bought the withings home video camera. Got home all excited to set it up... Bluetooth worked and paired ok. Setup then let's me do a quick setup to wifi. After that was done it takes me to a page that says configuration with "next" on it. It won't let me tap it. Instead it seems like the screen just hits next for me. Which is fine except I can NEVER get past this step. I've done a factory reset, reinstalled the app, done it all and all I can think of is its a software issue. I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the developers and see if they fix this the next couple of days, but if not I'll be returning it.Show lessDyno998
Great Update
We just had our 3rd baby, and this is the perfect IP cam. We didn't want a dropcam in the baby room, but the design of Home works and the air quality feature and nightlight are appreciated.
Setup took about two minutes including an OTA update, then started working immediately.
The 24 rewind feature is very cool, and night vision is much better than our old baby monitor.
The diary feature makes it easy to review and find events.
HD quality is excellent, with a wide view and minimal fisheye.
We'll likely add a 2nd unit for peace of mind in other parts of the house.Show lessS4x1
Disappointing
Very disappointed with this. Firstly, the app doesn't work properly- recorded events are just black screens. Secondly, it constantly reports that the camera is in private mode, when it isn't. Thirdly, in the advertising and even in the documentation it refers to VOCs when what it's actually measuring is CO2 which not the same thing. The support info is just a off, and slow to load. If there was a decent help area with a support email address I would have emailed that, but there isn't so I'm posting this review.
Give its competitors it would be expected that it would include temperature and humidity, but doesn't do that. All in all not really a product that is ready for market, and the app needs considerable work.Show lesspowerbook

Out of the box, I'd recommend Dropcam for a far more seamless experience but I'm crossing my fingers that Withings comes through on fixing the bugs and adding features. I've disabled audio notifications, nearly useless when it triggers nearly at random while I'm out of the house. Movement detection is just as sensitive, passing clouds and changes in outdoor daylight set off notifications as well. Short videos captured to the diary are a neat feature but only if there's some way to record video to local/cloud storage - which won't be available until March. Otherwise, the diary only captures a frames of a few seconds which isn't useful on its own. I'd love to see an update where notifications are disabled on proximity to a device, a bit tiring having my phone alert me to walking around the house. Buggy buggy buggy! Do not buy
This product is like a pre release beta, where to start;
1. It keeps disconnecting on and off to my wifi as soon as you close the app even within 5 m of the wifi router where other ip cameras have been fine
2. The lamp as soon as you change the colour it comes on then you close the app and it goes off (how useless)
3. The cry recognition - good luck getting that working I tired our 18 month old screening and it still didn't alert same for movement and noise very intermittent! Nowhere near as good as other cams
4. The picture quality is fine until something moves then it looks awful
5. The app doesn't run in the background as soon as the app closes the noise stops. Not much good as a baby cam
6. You can't set noise and motion sensitivity you are stuck
7. And most annoying of all every time you open the app to monitor or close it the camera makes a click type microphone noise which Wakes people up genius! !
I used to love withings stuff I have scales, blood pressure and O2 all great products. This feels like something rushed out over priced half working. It's going back.Show lessCiscosurplus
