  • Awesome

    Super awesome app!

Only thing that’s kind of annoying is how the progress circle loads every single time you scroll past something you’ve memorized/are memorizing. I feel like once I have more scripture memorized, it’ll be really annoying to see those circles loading up every time as I scroll up and down.

I think they should load when you scroll past them the first time, but once they’re off screen they should just continue holding that same progress value so they don’t have to reload when you scroll back up to them. Then when you make progress or lose progress, the meter will continue to track how it does, but those 3 circumstances (first time loading, improvement in performance, or decrease in performance) should be the only time a progress/health circle reloads.

  • Disappointed

I am so disappointed with this app. It has so many great features but it will not load at all on my phone.. and I just bought a new phone so I know it’s not that!

  • Perfect App for memorizing Verses!

This app helps me memorize verses easily! The different methods it uses are perfect to help me retain the verses. I can work on them wherever I go and have extra time. I can review ones I've already memorized. It's all around a great app. I highly recommend it. I'm in my early 60s and love that I can still learn more Scripture.
PS. The last few months as my memorization has increased daily. The log isn’t working and not giving me credit for memorizing for over 5 minutes. That’s rather frustrating. I’m not memorizing for that reason but it does create an incentive to use the app every day. It keeps freezing and losing track of my daily work. What gives? Your updates say you have fixed the bug causing that issue but it still continues as of today, April 8, 2019. Please, fix this! It can’t be that challenging.

  • Great app, great job.

Huge thanks to the developer(s) of this app. So many great ways to memorize Scripture, and I am happily paying $10 a year. If I can pay that for Netflix every month, I can pay that to memorize Gods word.

I did notice on password reset, the email is very obviously dev-set-up like. Pretty cool you are using firebase, but might want to polish that up. Also, groups could use some ux work, kinda tricky figuring out how to navigate that area. (Eg inviting a friend creates a new group, the only way to delete a group is to leave it, and you leave it by clicking your name?) stuff like that. I’m sure you have many more great updates planned, keep up the great work, and thanks for using your skills to make such a great app for Gods people!

  • Just a heads up.....

I was curious about this app and downloaded it at the end of January to try the 30 day free trial. The app requires the user to set up an account, in order to try it. I wasn’t prepared to start yet and go through that process and figured the 30 day trial would start from the day I set up an account. Anyway, at the end of February, I was billed for the app. I sent a refund request to apple telling them I never used the app- never set up an account. They denied my request. A week later I tried to sign into the app, but since my account was never set up, it said there was a problem. I was disappointed and annoyed with the situation, and sent a screen shot to the app customer service explaining what happened on March 7th. I finally created an account figuring if I paid for it and can’t get a refund, I might as well give it a try. Since I only saw the KJV, I wasn’t really interested. Today (March 27th), the app customer service finally responded and checked in. They saw that I had created an account on 3/7 and wanted to make sure that I no longer saw the error message. I don’t. I have never tried this app, so it might be the best app in the world. But this disappointing situation makes me not want to use this app or support the people behind it.

  • Why go the way of login required?

I enjoyed this app and have really gone through a lot of verses. Then an update came that requires you to login. I realize every app in the App Store is going the way of login required these days, but for what purpose? The claim is to backup data, connect with friends, and encourage one another on line. The real purpose is to track your data for sale back to Facebook and collect your information to sell to marketers and 3rd parties. I realize apps take money to make and update, but I’m fundamentally against this business model. I’d rather pay $5 even $10 for a really solid app that doesn’t nag me or sell my data. It’s clear the company is not interested in spreading God’s word, but keeping the cash flow high for as long as possible. I’m uninstalling this app and moving to a different bible memory app that doesn’t (yet) require you to login in. I mean really, just make it optional.

  • Love it

I love this app it's such a gem. However, I got dinged when doing the wordbank challenge because I selected the non-capitalized word rather than the word without the capital letter. That's a bit much since this app is geared towards memorization.

Also I was playing around the app (as anyone with a new "toy" would do) and I added a verse to a passage I'm learning. Now I cannot undo it or delete it and customer support's recommendation is just to learn the extra verse. I don't see why the option to delete a passage isn't available if a mistake is made. I can delete collections and should be able to deleted passages as well.

  • Amazing Way to Memorize!

I have been trying to memorize more scripture for years and after finding this app, I finally am. For the first time in my life it’s actually sticking! I remember what I’ve learned and am reminded to review it often enough that I don’t lose what I’ve already learned. Thanks to this app I have memorized 10% of the Psalms and many other long scriptures through games, fill in the blank and typing out. My only complaint would be that I haven’t been able to get the “speak out” feature to work for me as it doesn’t pick up my words correctly no matter how clear or slow I try to say the verses. Overall I would definitely recommend this app if you’re looking to hide more scripture in your heart!

  • Good idea, poor execution.

This is such a brilliant way of learning! In a matter of days I've learnt an entire chapter and am a significant way through a second. Recall isn't word perfect but it's getting better.

Having wanted to learn the version of bible my church uses, I happily subscribed; £20 per annum being a small price to pay.

However, I wish the developers were better! This is a very buggy app which freezes or crashes far too regularly. And it appears to be getting worse. I'm really happy to support a method of bible learning this effective, but it needs to be better.

  • Generous

    Generous generous, absolutely generous.

Team, I know you will receive a lot of hate because you now offer a subscription model, but it’s only due to ignorance of the fact of how many hours it takes from highly skilled software developers to maintain an app.

I will gladly take the pro subscription even if it didn’t have the free year.

You guys rock! Most beautifully designed scripture memorization app. My top request on your website was adding creeds and catechisms, AND YOU LISTENED. Thank you so much! It seriously means the world to me!

I pray that this update will enhance my ability to memorize things that will encourage my walk with the Lord. I pray those things will translate to me being able to better lead the people I’m in charge of leading. May the gospel be multiplied, may the kingdom advance and may your team be blessed!

UPDATE: I’ve been more consistent than ever in memorizing scripture. And I even was able to convince a handful of friends to join. I love that you guys are actively developing this again :)
