Don’t get the app Don’t fly Volaris
Don’t bother getting the app to check in. It’s asking me to pay for some taxes of $465 in Mexico where I am only doing a layover and it won’t let me check in my flight until I pay and there is no Help option. Just check in at the airport. They added fees and taxes in the airport in Mexico. They don’t give passengers in transit proper information so they had me and other passengers running around to different offices therefore we all lost the flight and they made us pay $110 fee to book us in the next. Since they only have 1 flight a day for most destinations we had to wait 24 hours at the airport. An attendant at the gate called Ivan was the worst. Very rude and refused to let us in although there were passengers in the hallway in the other side of the glass still that were heading to the plane. Terrible experience in so many way. You can’t pay me enough to ever fly Volaris again. Not only cheap but bag service. Spend a little more money and enjoy a good flight with another airline.

Baggage
OK, I’m confused. I paid for my carry-on bag for $36 and then I also paid for a bag to go underneath. Said $101 and then the total came up $136. It’s like I paid twice for my carry-on, I didn’t show taxes or anything.

A clear and easy to use check-in via the Volaris App.
Awful
You are forced to download a poorly performing app in order to check in online. You are not permitted to input your details and instead are forced to grant camera access. Then once you’ve done this, you’re not able to check in online and instead have to do it at the time.

It freezes
The app has a lot of issues as the web as well, many errors from my iPhone 15 or even my google 8 pro, I tried the website same issues
Worst service
At first they couldn’t find my confirmation number. I booked through frontier but the second leg of my flight is through volaris. Volaris WhatsApp customer service tells me to call frontier, frontier tells me to call volaris, finally volaris finds my confirmation and tells me to use the volaris app to get my boarding pass and check in. But the app keeps saying my booking doesn’t exist. I went online to the website and it won’t let me get past the personal information page but does show I have a booking. Volaris sent me an email saying I had no carry on bags even though I paid for them on frontier along with board first privileges for my entire flight back and forth. But volaris says it’s frontiers fault and that I basically need to deal with frontier, when I called frontier again they said I did pay for these things and volaris is supposed to honor it. This airline is the worst, do not use them or fly with them ever. They do not take responsibility for their passengers or their partners. Their app is terrible and I want my money back. Completely ruined my honeymoon with my wife.

Garbage app
Please fire the people who create scan passport feature. They clearly did not do their jobs!!!!! The nationality doesn’t even match the issue country after I scanned the passport. What a joke!!!
Scan and payment
The scan function didn’t work, hence allow to write the details manually. It wasn’t available.
I wanted to add a checked bag; it wasn’t allow me to pay; one of the passengers could not complete the checking.
There is no need to thread your passengers that you don’t have kiosks to checking at the airport.
We used last year in México without a problem, hence we repeated. This year it was very unpleasant and unfriendly. It is not clear the carry on luggage allowance. Awful experience
