Great

There are smartphones and there is iPhone. There are online/mobile banks and there is N26.

Have you tried to open an online bank account because you’re moving to a new country?
There are banks that will ask you for a local phone number (come on! How can we do this since we need a local bank account to get a local phone number?). There are banks that will not accept your foreign ID and invite you to come back once you have your residence permit (how do you pay the rental, food, and all other expenses in between?). And there is N26. Smooth process to open an online account. 48 hours to check the AML stuff as indicated. And bingo “your account is activated” email. And a bank identification that is key to many gates in the new country.

The app is great. It works well. The virtual card works like a charm with Apple Wallet. And transfers online are quick and efficient thanks to the partnership with Wise.

There is nothing not to look like with N26.

Not so bad‼️‼️

When I first got the app when they put it out I put some backend money about 10k in it and EVERYTHING WAS FINE.. only issue I had was when I needed to change something yu had to verify with customer service and getting hold could take anywhere from 5 mins - 5 hours .. but once I was otp it took bout 3-5 mins to verify and change everything.. it was a good bank to and for me .. most definitely could’ve had a better card. But I don’t know what happened in Virginia or just the US but the bank itself wasn’t working anymore for anybody over here.. so I had a good run while it lasted. I did get to use all of my 10k tho

N26 brings the future to Germany

As an English speaker in Germany I couldn’t believe how few banks had access to English. The apps were all slow and clunky with crazy security measures that make them totally unusable, so much so when my wife lost her card she had to fly to Germany and wait 2 weeks then collect her card in person, she couldn’t even cancel it online or over the phone…
When I lost my card I could freeze it via the app. Order a new one at no cost. Just the service I expect, I can set my own limits use it around the world. It’s just what I expect a bank to be able to do as a world traveler.

Avoid problems

All goes nice, as soon as you have problem you gonna stuck in a non sense script assistance… Revolut is better.

Zero customer support and security issues

If you want a secure bank account, where you have the support when required this is not for you. If you want an account with a decent interface and high costs then go for it…

Customer support are never able to answer any questions that you have. This is where a traditional bank really prevails. I put a block on my account after I received 6 notifications in 20 minutes of suspicious activity. I had to speak with an advisor to unblock it. I was told that they have no idea when the card will be unblocked…whether it would be minutes, hours, days, weeks etc. there was no process of escalation and the advisor wanted to close my conversation every 3 minutes despite providing no answers.

Terrible customer service

I contacted the support chat as i had changed my phone number due to traveling, therefore i couldn’t log in. They asked me to provide my passport number, token number of the card and told to go to an atm and withdraw and so i did and yet they told me i couldn’t be authenticated, they thought it wasn’t me the holder of the bank account.
In the meantime i was stranded in Thailand in need to access my funds but i couldn’t, i Don’t recommend this bank.

Simply Brilliant!

The best bank and the best banking app in Germany if not Europe. Seriously as a foreigner living in Germany I would not be as comfortable as I am with my money management with anyone else. I hear nightmare stories from friends over here from other financial institutions…I feel lucky that I went with N26.

DO NOT USE (at least if you are from the US)

I recently moved to Italy. I heard rave reviews about this ‘bank.’ I have had nothing but problems. I cannot get a transfer in from my US bank. I have tried instant deposit as well. My bank confirms the ‘purchase’ and then nothing happens. Customer service (Bilel was especially rude) just told me I was wrong (even though I have 5 confirmations on my end), and then exited the chat while I was writing.
It may be great for people with EU banks, but from what I can tell, there is good reason they were not successful in the US or with US based banks. And the customer service is spotty (but that sadly seams to be par this day in age…). (Side note: my bank is based in the US, but it is a military bank that regularly deals with international transactions…as there are US military service members EVERYWHERE).

As an international traveler this is the best account i ve ever had
