App Never works

Hate that when you call 311, they tell you that you can use the app but it doesn’t work. Every time I’ve tried to submit a request, it says try later or call 311. What’s the point!?!?

Difficult

Got the hang of maneuvering through the old 311 App & now the “improved” version that is too difficult to simply put in a request! Come on guys. We are helping the city. Are you seriously trying to force us back to calling?!

Useless

Registration doesn’t work worth beans. Font size is too small. Extremely poor responsiveness when it works at all. Total waste of time.

Does anyone from 311 keeps up with this app?
Seeing my issues are very similar to the one before me dating back several months!!

This is a step backwards

I’m not quite sure how you could make a worse version of the 311 app but DC govt figured out a way:
-Map interface doesn’t work: no ability to designate on a map outside of typing in physical address.
-Submission interface is clunky and doesn’t allow dynamic scrolling.
Please update this soon!

Broken

This app desperately needs some TLC. I’m completely unable to submit 311 requests through the app (I just get error messages), and sometimes I can’t even get all the way to the end of the request without the app crashing or the “continue” button being grayed out.

Shouldn’t have to log in every time I want to report an issue

The app requires you to log into your account each time you need to report an issue. It should stay logged in or allow for fingerprint access

Good Idea but NEEDS Work

I like the idea of being able to submit a request for DC Services online but this app needs some serious tweaking. First there is not fingerprint access. Next, it requires you to fill in all your contact data for each request even though you have a completed profile, which is ridiculous and wastes time. The App also does not save all of your service requests in your history section like the original app which requires you to have to track it separately to be able to follow up on your issues. Additionally, the reported comments from DC Service Reps rarely show up explaining what actions were taken and why closed with no apparent action. And last but not least, some of the services available for reporting under the original app were removed from this newest version. i.e. being able to report overgrown yards in vacant houses. Hopefully changes will be made to improve this app.

Really bad

Not sure how developers could take a mediocre app and make it worse, but some problems at front end:
1) Type face is incredibly small and hard to read, especially login
2) No Touch ID login and you have to login each time (does save name/password)
3) accept a privacy policy each time allowing access to all data!! Which data? Why data that’s not relevant to city services
4) despite saving contact info in profile it asks you to fill in contact info each time when submitting service request.
