Privacy issues and app issues

Location access must be set to “always”. This is a non starter for most people. Their privacy policy on the websites states clearly that they collect, receive and store personal information INCLUDING geographic and location information. Therefore, all your whereabouts always have a chance to be stored by ZipBy. They might tell you “we don’t do it” but when it comes to location access I wouldn’t be comfortable just blindly trusting someone when their own privacy policy states that they, in fact, will store your location.

Card required for what?!?

The app requires you to add a card right after registration and doesn’t allow you to do anything else without it. When paying for parking it allows you to use ApplePay, so why is the card required? Ok, let’s just remore the card after using it once. Nope, you can’t. Your card is forever ours.

Lazy app, awful ui

Doesnt work, sign up and password recover is a nightmare

App foes not function with crappy databasr

In my case, I am the first time to use it, it really frustrate customer. I parked on a public holiday, but the app charged me working day rate, ie incorrect database. Worse thing is, for over two weeks I made two phone calls and sent two emails, no action been taken, up to today it is still outstanding.
I never had any issue with Wilson or Secure, but Zipby crashes at the first use, very disappointing.

Most poorly conceived parking app imaginable

The fact you cannot input park until 6 pm with calculating minutes is just plain stupid.

Bad app, worse support

The app worked for a few days, and during that time it was neat. Then it stopped working. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, made new accounts, changed mop, changed settings, it just doesn’t work. I reached out to support to sent me to someone else and closed the ticket. That someone else sent a hello email a month ago and never got back to me afterwards. My guess is this is some kind of information stealing scam. I wouldn’t trust this app with any personal information.

App works seamlessly!

A very convenient use of the app when parking. Did not cause any trouble in getting in and out of the parking location. 10/10 a highly recommended download!

Ticket

I went in vancouver ths month and I park in one of the parking spot and said download this and pay here but I still get a ticket

Using the ZipBy app gives you a guarantee of no ticket; the software that the guard uses can make mistakes from time to time, but the parking operator can see your payment in the app and will simply write off the ticket if you have a valid payment in the app. Simply contact the operator with all your details and they will address your concern; they are usually very quick. Again, using an app like this one makes sense because it gives everyone clear proof that you have paid.

Awful

I should have been forewarned by the bad reviews and listened to them. I downloaded this app to use in a parking garage and then validated my parking. Upon exiting the arm would not move and we had to get the attendant to come out and get us out of the garage. The meter on my garage usage is still running! I have called customer service, which is nothing but a voicemail. And I have sent an email. If you have not downloaded this app do not bother.
