Getting Worse
I didn’t think it was possible but the recent updates have made the app worse! Tried. Underuse times to book a flight using airpoints and credit card and kept getting error messages.
Service 101
I had the pleased to fly Sydney to Wellington return in the past week. The service was perfect. A blend of engaging and professional with hospitality that could teach some other airlines about being genuine and authentic.

Mobile app getting worse, constant bad request outcomes when trying to do anything, everything links out to a web app. Average experience
Online check in doesn’t work
Says I’m checked in but still wants me to check in but then says I’m already checked in but doesn’t give me a boarding pass. Welcome to internet in the 90s
Notification contradicts main app screen
The notification on my phone screen reports my flight is on time but when I click on it into the app it reports the flight is delayed. The screen notification is not updating!!
Very useful app
The Air NZ app is great for selecting seats, checking in and using the phone boarding card. You can check your Airpoints and status points easily. Missing is an easy way to know how many Airpoints and status points in total you have based on booked flights- you have to go into every flight with several clicks to find out each individually and add them up manually. Otherwise it’s a great app.

Ive answered this twice so the review is a ‘poor’
Frustrated
Cannot access any of the usual features to get details of upcoming flights, cannot see seating allocation, recognition upgrade request or baggage allowance. Get referred to original ticket but that only shows already completed flights because of the number of flights that are part of this booking. App sends me in circles with no answers

I have to say from the moment we left,Christchurch we then went to Wellington flew from Wellington to Sydney. We found that the staff were excellent. I can’t believe with all the long hours that they work how they continue smiling and being friendly even with demanding flyers. we look forward to gathering up some points for further travelling. We will be travelling around the world in our sprinter van. We hope to fly with you again to other destinations. We will be mentioning this on our YouTube channel very impressed thank you XX

Much easier to use than the other airline apps and has all the functionality for what I need to know
Stop asking me to rate your app every four days.
I actually really like the functionality of the AirNZ app and think it’s well built. But it constantly asking me to rate it on the App Store every four days is really less than ideal. I’ve rated it five stars normally but declined to write a review.
