Phone app requires web but you can’t acknowledge terms on a browser
I was one of several stranded air nz customers at 2 am and we were all encouraged to download the App, all 6 of us had the same issue and could not onboard. I have spent over 3 hours in chat with no resolution.
Not a smart app
All it takes is for a flight change and it becomes too much for the system to handle. Can’t even do something simple thing like a seat selection. Also, no longer shows you how many points needed for a banked year. How hard is it Air NZ?

Flight update not showing in app
Yesterday, I got an email flight update but today my app still doesn’t show my updated. The app is not reliable!
Irritating
After recent updates this app constantly says no Internet connection when opened. One always has to close this irritating message before one can use the app.
Slow and inconsistent
Doing anything other than booking flights is counter intuitive. Want to book parking? Click on that and go around in circles. It’s be great to simply click on ‘parking’ and it pulls through details instead of manually logging in. Having to remember flight details and times is difficult for me.
Meals onboard
Was handed over a surprise by NZ102 Auckland to Sydney. For 8 hours from 4pm to midnight until we were at Sydney airport, no nibbles or chippies or even few pieces of peanuts were available on the flight. I was expecting something to munch. Of course I was given a toffee just when aircraft prepared to land. We do get little baby packs of wafers or chippies or peanuts in our domestic flights. Minimum courtesy expected in trans Tasman flights please 🙏

Pointless
I have to leave the app and go to the website to do certain things. Waste of time having an app. I should be able to bid for and upgrade on a flight from the app. Instead I get directed to the website and then have to bid using euros 🤷🏽♂️

The previous version when we could select the seat straight away was better.
Dropping out
Try to change flight and site keeps dropping out at final stage very frustrating today, usually good
Unsure where airports card was located
Wasn’t sure where the airpoints card has gone, luckily the person at Mite10 helped
Always faulty
Multiple online check in’s that ended in a fault. Jetstar moving forward

It would be great to see dates of historic flights as well as future flights

Made a point of using the app to book flights & wanted to split the amount between air points & visa - Clicked the box & added my visa details - took all on Visa ?!!! - Not happy at all.

New app is clunky, slow and has lost a lot of the relational database features. My Airpoints number is dropping off, frequently. My passport info is always lost. Really need a major improvement. Has seriously been a step backwards.
Slow to update
The app overall has changed so many times within the last 10-15yrs but lately when you make a change it takes ages to update properly. Makes it frustrating when boarding the flight.
