Can’t opt of marketing emails on web or app

This airline is tanking and user/customer experience is why. In every aspect of air travel , AA is awful compared to the competition. This app is practically useless. Canceled my flight and automatically rebooked me for a flight…on the day before? I’m a smart guy, worked in tech though not a programmer/coder, and I don’t have a clue how I was booked for a flight that already happened. At least this level of incompetence is funny. What followed over the next two days was a disgrace for an airline pushing “100 years of service.” Long story short, I rented a car and drove DC to Pittsburgh instead of waiting 24 hours for the next flight. The small refund was a slap in the face.

Bye forever AA. You’ll soon be at peace with Eastern.

Richard Kappen

I had a very disappointing experience with Richard Kappen as a customer service manager. My flight was delayed for six hours, and during that time I was carrying my young daughter for much of the delay. As a result, my shoulder went numb from the strain.

When I approached Richard for assistance, he showed little concern for my situation and did not offer any accommodations or attempt to help in any meaningful way. I expected a customer service manager to demonstrate empathy and explore available options for a passenger facing such a difficult circumstance.

To make matters worse, when I asked for his business card so I could follow up regarding my experience, he refused to provide one.

The lack of compassion, professionalism, and basic customer service made an already stressful travel experience much worse. I hope this matter is reviewed so future passengers receive the level of care and assistance they deserve.
