I’ve had three consecutive horrible cancellations with 1 refund. Personnel at the help desk in PHL and DAL just are sub standard. I’m active duty in a unique organization where we are split to the winds. I had to walk a few miles off base to uber with my own money and hard earned leave days to see my wife to get cancelled and rebooked the last hour before the flight with the workers that are unhelpful. AA app has every other air line beat!
I travel a good amount and so use various airlines to get to my destinations .
I will unequivocally state that the mobile app boy American Airlines is one of the best - it not the best .
First off - it easiest to use
it's fast and clear to understand (which is important)
no toggling around trying to figure out where your flight code is or how to add your baggage needs
More airline apps should follow this fabulous leader.....and I will say when I can fly American , I do!
I always feel more appreciated by American than other airlines.
I'm a high mileage flyer on one of their biggest competitors and rarely do I get an upgrade.
American takes care of me - and that makes the world a difference when choosing who to book with❤️

Absolutely terrible that you take everyone’s money but we can only use the app if we have the newest phone.

As a 5-year Executive Platinum traveler, this app (and the overall quality and timeliness of American Airlines) has never been lower than it is right now. 5 of my last 6 flights have reported “boarding in # minutes” only to get to the gate and see the plane pulling in, and passengers just starting to walk off 🤦♂️. An unannounced 30-60 minute delay? Again?? It’s enough to make a professional traveler want to switch airlines.

Very helpful app!!!
The app is very well done. I found it particularly helpful when flights were delayed or canceled and how quickly they update and how quickly it communicates and reschedules you to an alternate flight. I just experienced a very erratic travel day and spent a night in the airport but had good reliable information from the app.

Part of my travel routine
I travel several times a month for work and one of the most used apps is the American app. It is so well laid out and I’m able to do all I need to make my day a breeze. From finding a lounge to checking on seats and upgrades it is all a click away.

Disaster of an app
The app loses your booking info randomly if you switch off the app to search other apps for info such as frequent flier numbers. Horrible horrible app.
Horrible customer service
After a plane in Charlotte, North Carolina had issues, we waited until 3 AM to be told that we were going to have a hotel and a melt voucher. After we receive those, there were no hotels available and nowhere to eat because it was only a $12 voucher. Probably will never fly American again very very very very sad and very upset about this flight

Won’t work on my iPhone 17.
The app load but it won’t give me the sign in page.

Horrendous
Required Check in for every flight that is buried in submenus and impossible to find. Endless 'loading' screens that eventually just open a blank page. A login process that often kicks up an error page with a list of all the things YOU possibly did wrong, because their systems not working couldn't possibly be their fault in any way.
