Great ride
I really enjoy train travel on Amtrak. I have been going to DC from NY for the past three years and find it more comfortable and convenient than the bus. I wish I could reserve an accessible seat online instead of having to call the reservation desk.

This app makes it so easy inconvenient to book a train anytime you want to travel. USA here I come! I like this so much better than having to get to an airport early and deal with the crowds and luggage, etc. Train travel is truly the best!

Fast & Efficient
Using the Amtrak app has been extremely useful. For me who sometimes runs late, it’s worth it to buy up to a flexible ticket so that it can be modified w/ no extra fees.
Absolute Nightmare
Amtrak is beyond awful. Coach is like riding a Greyhound, above that is like riding in a disgusting and decrepit time capsule that costs you an arm, leg, and your first born, and even then, you may be delayed indefinitely (no joke, days sometimes) without any recourse or even explanation. They are operating on technology out of the Stone Age and lack the ability to communicate within the company between different departments. So you get told BS and shoved off to the next person over and over and over again when you try and get any explanation or assistance. It’s a scam and a long dying company that just needs to be completely replaced. Seriously, steer clear.

Hard to use
I have misbooked more than once because the app is not user friendly. I tried to book a multi-legged trip but could not do it, needed to book the legs separately.
The best way to travel period
Love arriving rested, having gotten some work or reading done

Cheaper to Fly ✈️
The prices have gotten ridiculous from DC to NYC. It’s now significantly cheaper to book round trip flights through American Airlines and is much quicker. I’ve completely stopped using Amtrak. AA points are worth alot more than Amtrak as well.
