Truly helpful

I started the Anxiety Solution programme ten days ago, with mixed feelings of scepticism, hope and curiosity. In my working life I have had a lot of professional contacts and working links with counselling and psychotherapy etc. The past three or four years has been very demanding, just on a 'life's events' basis and I have been aware I need to do something to counter what are now serious levels of anxiety. Well, I have been surprised, in a good way, by the Anxiety Solution's app. I can see the way they have synthesised a lot of established practice and research and they have turned this into a really well designed, manageable process where the user can feel 'in control'. The programme's progression makes sense to the user and there is choice and flexibility and a core of repetition that is positive rather than just annoying. The presentation is low-key and entirely non-hectoring - so you do not feel you have entered some mid-Atlantic mind-gym. I really like the simple but very effective graphics and the use of the technology for reminders, representation of progress and 'nudges'. So, I am impressed by the care that has gone into this and very much encouraged to continue and I am looking forward to seeing how both the programme and my use of it progress. Thank you.

Superb for mental health

A really great app, it has done wonders for my mental health and I feel good in myself for the first time in ages

Worked for me

Going through a tough patch of depression and anxiety, and decided to try this app in desperation, as others just hadn’t cut it. This app really worked for me. I worked through the course and I was feeling better on day 2. As the course went on, so did the improvement in my mood and my anxiety level. The main thing that helps me is the journaling and the meditations, particularly the Daily Anxiety Calming Meditation. I do this at least twice per day, usually on waking up, and before sleep at night. I can only speak for myself but I have no hesitation in recommending this app.

Excellent app for understanding and addressing anxiety

I have only been using this app for 6 days with only the last 3 of them having greater access than the 3 day free trial and already I can see this is going to be an enormous help to me in trying to lessen my tendency to become anxious in situations I’m not comfortable with. It is well designed and engaging with good, useful content that is easy to understand. A thing worth noting which I hadn’t realised without contacting the people who administer the app is when you upgrade to the full version with a subscription you don’t actually have full access to everything in the app straight away. The recommended way to use it is go through the 28 day Course day by day and the relevant or related Tools to topics covered will be released as you go along. It is possible to override this in Settings but I’ve decided to progress how they advise. I’m looking forward to gradually exploring everything in the app step by step and then being able to return to the parts I found most helpful.

Anxiety issues

With my anxiety I get anxious a lot but knowing I have this app with me at all times I can just get my phone out and jot my feelings down thank you for your help

Key to success is continued use

I have used this app in the past and it had a dramatic impact for me. I backed away and now coming back as the symptoms reappear. I believe this tool helps you comprehend what’s happening in your current life and allows you to better understand and adapt. I once again I’m coming back with the goal of getting myself closer to that feeling of peace and positivity. I’m sure the star rating will increase as I get further along in the activity.

Well it says it in the name anxiety solution. I love this app I am 10 with severe GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) it's teaching me take deep breaths and not to stress. This app is the reason I'm starting to get better grades, take deep breaths and just learn to live with severe GAD so if your like me and you have anxiety I would DEFINITELY recommend this app for kids teens and adults.

The Anxiety Solution App

I have been engaging with the app for a couple of months and I am finding it is already helping to put things in perspective. The course lessons are supportive and thoughtful. The meditations are really useful and calming. The nudge feature helps give a prompt to reinforce the thinking process. The app is easy to navigate and I would not regard myself as techie at all really. I would definitely advise people looking for support to get this app, better than a purely book route.

Great app, really helped my anxiety

Been using for a while now and finding it very helpful in understanding and working with my anxiety

Somewhat shallow tool

As someone who’s been in therapy and currently working with cbt principals I was hoping the app would help reinforce some of those concepts and the lessons would be more robust. Instead I found the app quite shallow. For ex: a 7 min lesson on countering negative thought patterns, or even identifying them is just not enough. All the lessons are shallow, and the built in activities are weak. One of them literally tells you to just stop worrying about something if there’s nothing you can do about it— which is the most basic advice you can receive from a stranger. There’s not even an effort to reframe it better.

As far as lessons on cbt go- u can find more insightful ones for free on YouTube.

In addition, the app has no real new content in a year, the meditations are short, and there isn’t much content to compete with other apps. I’ve had the app for a year and I don’t think I’ve come across anything new in that time. Apps like calm, or dare have consistent new content and they are in a similar price range.

Disappointed with the app and can’t quite recommend it after trying a few others. I appreciate the effort and think there are some good ideas to build off of in the app (eg journal, quotes, some activities).. but just feels like the app is shallow, incomplete and not worth the amount they charge on an annual subscription price structure.

Very helpful

This is an amazing app with many tools! It really helped me build my own courage in myself. My favorite thing to do is where you type three thing you want to improve and it helps make you feel so much better about them!

Excellent practice

I have been using the app for 3 months now and it is excellent practice not only for anxiety, but in general to be more mindful and appreciate of life.
I would like to suggest a change. When I fill the journal at the end of the day I sometimes do it after midnight and the record goes automatically onto the next day, which is wrong. It would be great to allow to select the day to which to assign a record so that it can also be filled retrospectively. Thank you!!

I don’t like it

Makes me more anxious with a lot of questions and with a British accent that doesn’t sound normal to me and it’s sometimes difficult to understand
