Does not work well with voiceover.
As someone who was visually impaired in order to independently access health and medical records, this app is very much lacking in speech, assistive technology support. I’m specifically speaking of how the app works with voiceover. Needs attention! Many of the buttons are not labeled, the screen jumps around and continuously, refreshes, and many of the text fields do not activate.

One more improvement to add. Maybe two.
I get these automated phone messages/voicemails stating healthcare updates/reminders. It would be nice if the app had access to these.
Phone messages send you to the portal, but with a page that says “practice not found” of course if you also go the online route? No luck there!
Biggest improvement could be make Face ID actually work! I opted to use a complex password. Since facial recognition does not work, nor does it not play well with password apps. You do need to remember and manually type in everything.
Once in, it works fine. A lot better than the app their hospital they are associated with works.
Information is fairly easy to find. They offer a secure messaging. Not sure how well that works, but I would also assume depends on your provider reading and replying in a timely manner.

Why I value the patient portal
Iwill keep it short. The doctors we use at Summit Health respond in a timely manner. No calls necessary. No need to follow a series of prompts and be put on hold just to just for your call to be forwarded to someone else. If you are able to use a phone, laptop or computer, it’s great!

One thing remains; the functionality of patients sending attachments from other doctors and facilities is still somewhat tedious.
Please consider a simpler link for your patients who are still challenged by this function.

Portal
It would be nice if things could be answered maybe a little bit more quick quicker. With my experience, it has not been that way. I understand that there’s other patients besides myself. But it’s also nice to get a response.
Access!
I really like the ArhenaPatient App because I have instant communication with my providers and they usually reply promptly within 24 hrs but usually instantly. My last message I sent my Endocrinologist, she relied in 2 minutes. I love having access to my providers in real-time. This app is a gem for someone like me on dialysis and type I diabetic.
