Well explained step by step. I only had problems taking a picture but after 9 tries including opening my eyes more it got accepted.

Decent app but too high tech
Nice to have an official app but it should have the option to manually enter passport details instead of exclusively reading the chip . This would streamline the process.

New passport worked amazingly well. An older passport required a lot of attempts. Much easier than adding all the data though. Thank you!

Difficult to navigate and totally time consuming and obnoxious, so much so that this will be my last visit ever to go there. Totally unuser friendly.
Not working at all!
Device not supported error- The Australian Immigration website states this is the only way to obtain a visa for travel to Australia and yet it is not operational. I’ve deleted the app and downloaded it again, I’ve turned my phone off and on to reboot it. Nothing has worked. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED- I need a visa for cruise booked in October! Had no issues at all with the NZ app…

Passport Update
The Australian ETA application is easy to use and the steps are clear. Overall, I had a good experience using the app. The only part that confused me was when I had an old expired passport in my profile. It was not clear that I needed to remove the old passport/profile before I could apply using my new passport. A clearer explanation or instruction for users who have renewed their passport would make the application process even easier. Thank you.
