Extremely disappointing customer service. I waited over 4 hours on hold only to be disconnected after the automated system announced I was next. I emailed Customer Care and never received a response. When I finally reached a representative on another attempt, she was unable to honor my Avelo Rewards benefits because my son and his fiancée weren’t booked on my original reservation. However, your website would not allow me to book them with us because they were traveling one-way while the rest of our family was booked round-trip. I also needed to remove my daughter from one reservation without canceling my own, something that cannot be done online. These issues required assistance from Avelo, yet getting help has been nearly impossible. Budget fares should not mean nonexistent customer service. After exhausting every reasonable attempt to resolve these issues directly, I am left with no choice but to consider filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Bad business
Booked my cruise for $30 then got email saying I owed balance to complete transaction. Called customer service and they would not give me for my price. They said it was a glitch .I also could not use my Avelo cash money.Avelo is getting terrible at their customer service practices

Unaccommodating
A family member died unexpectedly and I had to change my flight. I sadly didn’t pay for Avelo flex so they were no help to any extent. I called customer service 4 times and waited over 6 hours in total just to never talk to a person. For the one way flight I had to reschedule cost the same as the 2way flight I originally scheduled. This experience has just been frustrating.

Two prices
There was one price when I went to reserve through an email and a higher price when I went through my account.
I saw no way to put in 1776 code on my account.

Do not use this app
Just use the website, get paper tickets. It takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes for this app load each screen. Keep flights, but just use the website. DO NOT USE APP

This app is certainly the worst I have encountered as an avid traveler. Nothing in the app works. Deleting or updating your profile, let alone trying to remove a payment method. It is clear there is no support for the app nor is there any articulation between the app and the credit card issued by the airline. This is one Airline, app and credit card to avoid at all costs. Getting tricked into low fares is only the start. Heed my advice and do not use. You will spend hours on the line waiting for customer support.

Bad Business
Delayed my flight by 3 hours so I canceled for a refund to go on a different airline. They put my credit on a voucher. So I had to rebook with avelo and pay more money. Pretty much can’t see where the flight was delayed 3 hours on their end. Very bad business. I didn’t just make that up. I will never fly Avelo again. No help in reinstating my flight just apologized. Well that’s not good enough. Get better Avelo!!

Easy way to Fly

Looked at my flight and saw I had a canceled trip for my return flight, I don’t remember canceling it so someone had to have canceled it. I’m glad I went to see what time I had to be at the airport two days before my flight, otherwise I would’ve went there without a flight.
Discount Offers Are A Scam
Offers sound good at first glance, but if you follow the deals and prices from week to week, the base ticket prices go up higher than the discount offer. They raise the prices to give you a discount. A scam.
Change flight sucks - don’t ever use Avelo
I tried changing the flight date. Couldn’t do it using app or website it keep going in loop and does not move forward, on top of that when i chatted with the customer support they asking extra $25 and the price they told is 3x of what I was seeing on the app and website. And when i told them that i am calling because your online system not working, the customer support person ‘Roselyn’ gave me the most irrelevant and frustrating reply i ever heard - it is working on my side so i can’t help you. Dear Avelo you use the app and website for your customer support or flyers like us. Most irresponsible behavior I have seen ever. My sincere advice- Don’t book flight on Avelo ever

This is the new spirit/frontier airways
This app does not update for your flight. You cannot depend on it and have to look at your text/email to see your updates.
Rates look low, they are no longer low because now they charge for everything. seats, any type of baggage. They are also undependable and will not get you where you need to go in a dependable time. 100% use a dependable airline.

Nickel & Diming
I love the ability to fly out of my local airport to the destinations I need but I have to say that I feel I’m getting Nickel and Dimed to death more and more for a “No Frills Airline”. Avelo…. Do better!
Avelo cash is unable to be used
I received a credit for a flight that I had to cancel, and it was issued wrong. It’s been several months, phone calls, and emails, and because part of the credit was put in incorrectly it was unable to be used. This is blocking me from using my additional credits. It is absolutely ridiculous that no one can fix this, and that the app still blocks me from using my remaining Avelo cash.

Just make your booking on website and write your confirmation on piece of paper or in your notes.
Can’t login or input flight info
The app is awful. It won’t let me login to my account, nor find my flight details that I booked online. I want to have the reservation in the app, but I’m unable to do that.
Promo codes
They offer promo codes and state that they are available until a certain time then keep you from applying the code but take it off the table hours before the deadline.

Wonderful Airline
Great service and wonderful flights. I hope you get more cities added and I would never even think of using another airline. This is by far my favorite airline.
