Helpful but needs help

The Ramsey tools are fantastic and I am really enjoying them, but this specific app is missing the content under "for me." It should be linked to the listed learning videos(?) I think but it's not linked to anything. Interested in watching whatever is supposed to be here, so please fix. Thanks

How can you use/get out of debt, when the app is faulty!!!

No longer updating

This version is no longer updating to snowball my debts automatically with Every Dollar. I am now having to calculate on my own.

The app doesn’t match Dave’s teaching

The app used to be helpful but now we have to go more into debt to pay for a dumb $130 subscription because you can’t add a transaction on your debt snowball without a subscription. I can find another way to budget if that’s what you guys want And from the reviews a lot of people are upset about the subscription. I’m going to delete my account.

Yearly Subscriptions are bad

I wouldn’t mind paying for the subscription if it allowed me to pay monthly. Even having a higher monthly payment would be better than having to drop $130 a year and having to remember to budget that in the right month.

FAQ

What does the BabySteps app do?

The BabySteps app helps users pay off debt and track savings goals using Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Steps financial plan. It utilizes the debt snowball method to prioritize debt repayment and provides tools to monitor progress towards financial milestones like building an emergency fund and saving for a home.

How do I access the BabySteps app?

To access the BabySteps app, you need to be a member of Ramsey+. SmartDollar members already have access. If you are not a member, you can start a free trial of Ramsey+ at ramseyplus.com.

What is the debt snowball method?

The debt snowball method is a debt reduction strategy where you pay off your smallest debts first while making minimum payments on larger ones. Once a small debt is paid off, you roll that payment amount into the next smallest debt, creating a 'snowball' effect that accelerates debt repayment.

Can I track my savings with this app?

Yes, the app allows you to track your savings. It provides tips on how to save money faster and helps you establish an emergency fund. You can visually track your savings account growth, which can help boost motivation.

What are the 7 Baby Steps?

The 7 Baby Steps are a step-by-step financial plan created by Dave Ramsey designed to help people get out of debt and build wealth. The app guides users through each step, which typically includes building a starter emergency fund, paying off all debt, saving for a full emergency fund, investing for retirement, and saving for children's college funds.
