Review

This has helped me keep track of my payments. The only thing I don’t understand is how to change the timeframe of when I want to pay certain debts off. The calculation may be off but I could be misunderstanding the app.

Best App Ever!

This app has made it very easy to understand my finances. It has calculated all the math that I manually use to do as well as the reminders!

Poor

I pay for this app, and truly the only thing it’s good for is calculating and categorizing my debt. The app doesn’t do a good job of tracking monthly payments and instead I have to go in and do that manually every month. It also doesn’t have an option for one time payments, or to customize with debt you want to tackle first. Very simple ask, but the app is garbage for functionality.

Ok, but not accurate

I liked the idea of this app so much I paid for the subscription to access more of the features. The app, however leaves much to be desired. It does not accurately track balances despite all minimum payment, apr and promotion Apr information added. It does not allow for changes to minimum payments for an individual month. It doesn’t accurately predict addition of recurring funds or allow for changes to additional funds in a month. Just a lot of inaccuracies requiring constant updating and frustrations. Currently on the hunt for something more useful.

FAQ

What does the Debt Payoff Planner & Tracker app do?

This app helps you create a personalized, step-by-step plan to pay off your loans. It uses your loan details and budget to generate customized repayment schedules and allows you to track your progress towards becoming debt-free.

What are the key debt payoff strategies supported?

The app supports several popular strategies including Dave Ramsey's Debt Snowball (paying off smallest balances first), Debt Avalanche (paying off highest interest rates first), Debt Snowflake (making one-time extra payments), and custom payoff plans.

Is the app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, but it does offer in-app purchases. This means some features or content may require an additional purchase.

What information do I need to use the loan calculator?

To calculate your debt-free date, you'll need to input the current balance of your loan, the annual percentage rate (APR), and the minimum payment amount. This minimal input allows for a customized debt repayment schedule.

How does the app help me stay focused on my financial goals?

The app provides a clear payoff chart showing two scenarios: one with only minimum payments and another with additional payments. It also allows you to track your payments, see your progress over time, and offers articles with tips on paying off specific loan types faster.
