Support useful, highly recommend

Have been using the free version over a few years. At first it was amazing to see such a long list of symptoms I'd never been aware of. I would also note that a couple of the symptoms listed don't align with the experience of myself and friends. One example is "increased alcohol tolerance" Many of us have experienced the complete opposite and can no longer drink alcohol. The best feature for me is that I can return to daily symptom logging wherever I notice symptoms have changed a bit. It's so helpful to get a picture of what's going on. Best of all you can print out a report to show your doctor or specialist. The short, easy to read articles were incredibly helpful early on. Also highly recommend joining what they call experiments. For example I had terrible hot flushes and night sweats even on hormone replacement. I joined an experiment to increase water drinking and the symptoms got dramatically better. I've kept it up ever since. You can learn so much from these experiments that are going on. You just click to anonymously join. There no data collected or anything. It really does give you a sense of community when you read the posts and comments by others.

useless

This app is useless and is emotionally driven rather than logically. I wanted an app to track and make notes on ovulation & menstruation & it doesn’t do that, it just tracks daily mood & pre selected symptoms. A pen & piece of paper is more useful

The go to app for women’s health

In a world of White Noise and conflicting information the Balance app provides information based on scientific facts, not fear. It should be a first stop for all women and health professions managing women.

Really good and helpful to see the changes in my body and mind going through the peri menopause. The various area you can check is fab

Wasn’t there a Dispatches investigation on this programme?

Pls clarify the outcome. Trust is important in healthcare 🙏

Cycle tracking missing !

Please fix

Awful changes!

Why oh why oh why have you changed the journal section? I’ve used this app for about 3 years to track my periods and it was great! Now you’ve changed it and it’s clunky and awkward. Before I could clearly see all the months of the year just by scrolling! Now I can only see one month at a time and logging your flow is also now more time consuming! Absolutely terrible. It was fine just as it was!

Perfect app for logging periods and symptoms

Loads of great features including period logging, symptom tracking and lots of articles and help. Awesome service too as I fed back that one of the recent updates had changed the way the app had been working really well for me. They contacted me straight away and adapted the app so I could use it in my preferred way again. Love brands that listen to people’s feedback and act on it fast! Awesome - Thank you!!

Useful information

The balance app is full of useful information and I have learned a lot, however it is restricted, as to gain access to videos and other parts of the app there is a charge and a monthly subscription, which I think then makes you think they just want you to subscribe. This makes me doubt the validity of the information or the true intention.

I want to like it

I want to like this, but I can’t get it to integrate with my Apple Health.

Journal change

Journal period tracker used to be a super simple layout but the new update is not user friendly at all.

So informative!!

Highly recommend this app if you want to start or further your education in the endocrine system and all things menopause🙌🏽

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your positive experience! We're delighted that you find the information valuable and that it's helping you in your educational journey about the endocrine system and menopause. Team Balance.

Hate latest changes

The most recent changes make the calendar very hard to read. To the point of being useless. Too much information, too cluttered and made my favorite feature of the app, my least favorite.

Response from developer

We see that the latest changes have really impacted your experience, particularly with the calendar feature that you used to enjoy. Your feedback about it being cluttered and hard to read is truly appreciated, as it helps us understand how these updates affect our users. We hope you can still find value in other features as you continue your journey with us. Team Balance.

Not too bad

There’s is a lot of information, also a bit too much items to input. I find the daily journal a bit annoying instead of being able to log a period in one go.

Excellent

Excellent app really helpful full of information

Awful!

What on earth have they done to the app. It’s terrible. You can’t keep track like you used to and for those who have gone through the menopause it’s pretty much useless. I really don’t understand how it has high reviews. I’m so disappointed.

Deleted all my past data and the easy to see calendar

Went to log my period and my data and calendar is gone. I don’t want to spend ages logging mood, sleep etc.. it was so easy & helpful before. Deleted & gone elsewhere

Hate the new update

I’ve used this app for years to log my periods and hrt medication schedule using the notes. It worked really well for me. Since the new update has amalgamated the symptom tracker with the period track it is so difficult and clunky to use, I hate it. You can’t click a date on the calendar to log any info, you have to click log period and then find the date you want to add things for manually. In the overview mode you can no longer just click on the note for a historic date to see what you wrote. Will be looking for a different period tracker app now unless the issues are sorted soon.

Update has lost my data

This app was useful for logging my period so I could keep track. It has now been updated and all the tracking I have done over the last 6-12 months is gone. Plus the new layout is not as intuitive as the old. Very annoying

So disappointed by latest upgrade

Can no longer scroll months (periods), click into days in calendar view to add retrospectively or review notes which was super helpful when discussing with doctor. Years of data which is now extremely hard to review or extract. More fiddly to add/edit/days retrospectively, cluttered with other diary content I’m not interested in :(
