Buyer Beware!
I signed up for a one-time 6-month subscription. 6-months later, I’m being charged almost $170 for a recurring subscription with no receipt of the transaction provided. Conveniently for them, they have a “14 day refund policy,” so when I notice the charge less than a month later, I’m outside of their refund window. They purposely defraud you into a subscription you didn’t sign up for, don’t provide a receipt when they charge you again, and ignore your requests to cancel the subscription.

Bring Back App Book Option
I did lose weight, but it was expensive
It was nice having my menu planned out for me every day and being able to generate a shopping list for whichever days I wanted to shop for. However, the meals were very hit-or-miss. As someone with a lot of experience cooking, I’m pretty sure most of the recipes are written by nutritionists/dietitians, not by chefs, and the people who wrote the recipes don’t have much actual cooking knowledge. Many of the recipes are lacking in basic cooking techniques and principles. The estimated cooking times are inaccurate, and sometimes WAY off from the actual cooking time, especially if any grains are involved (it’s impossible to cook brown rice in 20 minutes). The recipes also use a lot of obscure ingredients that were really difficult for me to get because I live in Hawaii. I spent hundreds of dollars buying the ingredients for my meal plan, and threw away the majority of those ingredients because the recipes only use 1 or 2 ounces of an ingredient and then the rest goes bad before a recipe using that ingredient comes up in the plan again. I have containers of millet, amaranth, buckwheat, and bulgur that I’m probably never going to finish because they don’t taste good.
The workouts were an issue for me. The app doesn’t follow the personalized book which alternates strength training with cardio and includes a rest day, instead saying that you are supposed to workout for 20 minutes every day, but you can’t log your own workouts. You have to use their workouts, which don’t count for as much time as they take. The workouts I was doing take about 10 minutes, but only count for 4-5 minutes.
As a person with chronic pain and fatigue, this app was nearly impossible for me to keep up with. If you don’t have any health issues, you have lots of extra time and money to spend on cooking random recipes, and you don’t mind eating bland, boring food, then this app might work for you. Personally, I’m glad my subscription ends tomorrow and I won’t feel obligated to use the app because I spent money on it.
Love it!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. Subscription billing can sometimes include additional add-ons that are selected during the checkout process, and all pricing and subscription components are shown before payment is confirmed, along with the terms of each option. If a subscription is cancelled correctly before renewal, no further charges should occur. However, if multiple subscriptions or add-ons were purchased separately, they must be cancelled individually as they are managed as separate billing items. We understand how upsetting this situation is and would like to review your case in detail to clarify what happened and check your account history. Please contact hello@beyondbody.me with your details so our team can assist you.
