User reviews

I love Bia

This app has helped me so much. Thank you!

Meh

Things started off well but I cannot progress due to glitches in this app. I am unable to move to the next exercises and screen even after I have completed a step. I keep getting told that if I choose to quit I will lose my progress, but I don’t have the option to move forward so I have to quit all the time. It’s beyond frustrating for what I paid. I actually felt like it was helping.

Response from developer

Hello, Willy from Bia here. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. I identified the cause and released a fix the same day (June 25). If you're still experiencing the problem, or have any other feedback, I'd love to hear from you directly at willy@biajourney.com so I can make it right. Thank you again for trying Bia and helping improve the app.

Best emetophobia exposure therapy app!

Fantastic app for exposure therapy to overcome emetophobia!

I am currently working with an exposure therapist on an entirely different issue and have been very pleased at how helpful this app tailored toward emetophobia exposure + response prevention work has been. It starts with theory foundations and basic exposures and works you up an exposure hierarchy, helping you acclimate and build confidence. Emet has ruined my life for nearly 25 years and working with this app is bringing hope and progress.

I've been impressed at the depth of thoughtful introspection the app encourages - I thought I was past fear around "the words" but the app helped me discover that I still had some reactivity to saying the words out loud, just not to hearing or reading them anymore. This is a good thing for me to know and work on before diving into more vivid exposures to build a firm foundation and confidence that I can overcome obstacles that cause discomfort and fear.

Highly recommend this app and program. Exposure work can be difficult and demands consistency but it has a proven track record of helping people towards long-term healing.

Thank you Bia and Team!!

Looking forward to continuing

I love how the exposures are slow and very incremental. It’s felt like what I imagine exposure therapy with a therapist would be like! The check ins are helpful and they really help me keep an eye on my anxiety levels while working on the exposures. I also appreciate the reminders to slow down! I’m only on chapter 3 but I’m feeling very optimistic! I’m looking forward to continuing my Bia Journey and seeing how far I come with my phobia.

Awesome

I can tell this was built by someone who had phobia. They get it. The app lets you customize and take a little placement quiz. You can pause or exit whenever and it’s very careful and explains every step. Thank you for making this.
