Demanding full access to Calendar
British Airways demands full access to all calendar events just to add a booking to the Calendar. This is incredibly intrusive and inappropriate. Why do they need to know about my dental appointment
Works well till you can’t check in (update)
This works reasonably well. The issue is that regularly you cannot check in.
Initially I was worried
flight were cancelled or my seat was cancelled. My update is that if you fill out your personal information, the reason may be given. Without your information it simply says can’t check in go to the airport. Leaving you without any valid reason and worried that you’re cancelled. With your information filled out it will give for instance a message that for this (particular) flight it isn’t possible, please go to the airport.

Update is awful
Been a member for over 20 years and always had a good experience with the app since its release. However the last latest version will not allow me to book a flight, it continually refers me to the website. So it’s as useful as chocolate fireguard as they say.

I have entered my log in details 6 times and its accepts its log me in a can see my membership card but as soon as I click anything else its says I’m not logged in and tries to make me do it again 😭 I have booked in past but hesitant to book more if I can’t access my bookings
Glitchy, annoying and horribly built
This app never works, its updates are a joke and it constantly forgets who u am somehow even when i am logged in. Every time you click into another section of the app it’s like it’s connecting to the internet and constantly asks if id rather use the app…while I am in the app. Make it make sense.

Login, try to change anything on my booking and it takes me to Firefox page to make changes!

Useless app
Every time I go to the app it just takes me to their mobile site. Also, you cannot view or change your seat. Every time I select “manage seat” it gives me an error.
Log in issues
Keeps asking me to login to book at flight stuck in a infinite loop the app is so pointless
Calendar
You ask for my full calendar access instead of “add only”? What you scraping customers calendars and selling the data? Thats illegal. Fix your app so calendar is “add only”
Outdated technology
This app is super outdated despite the modern UI. For example, if your flight gets canceled and rebooked, the app doesn’t know how to deal with that and just redirects you to the mobile website. Even if your return flight isn’t impacted, it still says the trip needs attention and redirects to the website. The app is essentially useless. I’ve decided to deprioritize choosing BA going forward because of these technical issues. It’s not 2008 anymore, it’s time to catch up to basically every other airline that has a fully featured app.

Looks nice. It's blue. You login, click on book a flight and, yup, just like the old one it asks you to log in again. The old app was designed by an 8 year old. This one maybe 10 year old

How can you work to improve an app only to make the experience worse. How is this possible. Get your act together.

This app is an embarrassment to BA. Never mind it being light years beyond airlines like delta - it’s far worse than guys like wizz air and Ryanair.

Still Rubbish Back End
Fails to Deliver. Doesn’t work with multiple flights on the same booking. Failed to deliver boarding passes, doesn’t even show you all your seats on more than 2 flights for 2 people. Obviously very little testing and still awful integration with Iberia.
No improvement for Avios searches
Still continues to come back with ‘technical error’ when using to search Avios and companion flight availability. Total waste of time, so frustrating. Looks prettier and that’s about it.
