App won’t upload a booking

Unless I’m doing something wrong, the App won’t accept a booking. Booked direct with BA, refreshed the App, deleted and reloaded the App, checked my e ticket confirmation etec etc Pretty frustrating.

Buggy and bad functionality

This app is very hard to use. Lots of error messages every time I try to manage a booking or make changes, glitchy interface, and often have to try to do a basic thing like check in or change seats multiple times before it goes through. Noticeably worse app than many other airlines like Delta or United.

Worst airline app

Honestly the most unfriendly airline app around. You can’t even see your flight number on app. Every single thing you want to do has to be transferred to website. Shocking shocking app.

Absolute Joke

$8bn on technology and EVERYTHING you try and do causes a system issues. Linking to a rubbish website isn’t the answer. BA has the WORST IT!

Abysmal app

Frankly, it is an enduring embarrassment for BA. I tried every possible way to make it work on my phone, without success. It is intent on sending me to a browser for the whole experience (what’s the point of the app??), and the wrong one at that, not my default browser. In 2026, it simply is a tech tragedy.

Old app was better

Used to love the app before it changed. Now it’s slower and some functionality is lost. Would have preferred the option to use the old one until the new one is fully ready

Worse than before

Only BA could make an app that’s worse than the (already awful) previous version. It really is an awful product.

Connection lost, can’t find your booking, nothing loads. Absolute runnish

The new app is totally useless.
Can’t check in. Can’t search for flights properly. Pages don’t fit on the screen. Buttons don’t work.

The new app removed the most useful feature which is ability to book a reward flight.

New app, no check in?

The new app doesn’t seem to have a check in function. If there is one, it’s very well hidden. This makes absolutely no sense.

New version is frustrating

The new app feels like a downgrade. My main frustration is that you can only find out how much you can save with Avios at the very end of the booking process, after you’ve entered the details of all the passengers. Please can you change this so you can see the avios savings at the same time as you’re clicking on why flights you want to take

Poor app redesign

It’s like they made it terrible on purpose. You need to use another flight search engine first and then try and use this app to get BA tickets. It doesn’t recognize nearby airports.

It’s gone down hill

The app was brilliant but now it’s so bad. I used to be able to view how long was left for my flight and now that feature has been removed from the app.

Truly terrible update

New app is a disaster

Won’t accept payments. Pages don’t fit within the mobile screen so have to scroll around the screen to see everything. Basic transactions take longer than old app. Crashes during a payment. Clearly not tested properly before release

Personal Economic Impact

Awful app. Clunky user experience, especially compared to that of Virgin Atlantic. Got into a strange rebooking scenario that resulted in thousands of GBP lost due to application errors that were shown. You would be better off flying with someone else.

Why does the app send you outside of the app to do transactions and still show a banner at the top to open the app again?
