Worst customer service
They never pick up the phone. And only bots chat with you in the chatting tool, even you request talking to an agent. Spent hours and solved nothing.
Stopover in HKG booking was horrible
Tried to book a stopover in HKG on return flight and has errors, either stop working or pricing can go from USD $4900 (business) and in next couple of hours to USD 5,500 (mixed class) and when book gave me an error so need to start all over again. Apps does not work except for straight round trip. Even that pricing was so irresponsible that I quit booking. There are others such as SIA or even STARLUX provide better pricing and better apps that CX.

重大Bug！连续数日打不开App，完全无法登录
App启动持续弹窗【Updating locale information】，无限重试卡死。大陆Apple ID下载、重装、切换网络、重置网络、核对系统地区时区全部操作尝试完毕，连续五天依旧无法进入软件。急需查看、管理航班订单，但客户端彻底瘫痪，只能通过网页版操作太麻烦。严重干扰行程规划。
The Cathay Pacific app keeps popping up the message "Updating locale information" every time I launch it. Tapping "Retry" loops endlessly, and I cannot reach the login page at all.
I downloaded the app with a mainland China Apple ID. I have fully reinstalled the app, switched between Wi‑Fi and cellular data, reset network settings, and confirmed my phone’s region, time zone and language are correctly set. No VPN or proxy is running.
This issue has lasted for five consecutive days. I rely on the app to manage my flight bookings, and this bug seriously disrupts my travel arrangements. Please fix this localization loading bug as soon as possible.

UIデザイン関係の仕事をしてる者です。第一印象は使いやすいアプリに見えました。キャセイらしさを反映していて、統一感あるUIに見えます。
ただ使っていくと、モバイルアプリに精通した人とは思えないWebに最適化したようなコンポーネントや、もたついたアニメーションが多用されていて、情報を入力するのにかなりストレスがかかりました。
例えば、生年月日のスライダーは、今日現在の日にちがデフォルトになっているので、1番左のDayを増加させると「未来」だと判定して元に強制的に巻き戻されます。アクションは基本的に左から右に行うので、多くの人がこのトラップでストレスを覚えるかと思います。
認証の電話番号のinput も自動で-や先頭の国番号の桁、空白も削除されないため、OS標準の自動入力で入力したユーザーの大半はここで手動で渋々修正する羽目になります。
入力中の警告文章も出るタイミングが曖昧で、その度に画面の座標がずれるので入力しづらいです。本番環境でのユーザーテスト、継続的に本当にしてますか？

Slow. Errors.
The app is slow, frequently shows errors. “duplicate sectors on flights”, just “error” or similar. It reverts you to the webpage for any type of upgrade, which of course… shows yet more errors.

Everything is inconsistent, forces log outs on upgrades, when you add companions and you check in, you get your boarding pass and the others cannot check in on their app.
Doesn’t offer camera to scan travel docs and forces you to manually add details.
