By far the best transportation app I’ve ever used.
The ease of Charlotte Public transportation and the app give me hope for the future of public transportation across the country.

CATS is pretty terrible.
Born and raised in the Queen City since 1996. Used to loved using the public transportation when I was a bit younger, but now they don’t seem to stand up for any positive change for the community that relies on public transportation. I have never seen people more unprofessional in my life to be quite fair. I get that drivers are just trying to work their 9-5 at this point, but what happend to people who work with the public having good morals and integrity. What’s even more sad is to watch our people treat our own like we are nothing. I understand people in the city are not easy to deal with, but that goes back to CATS lack of training for their employees pertaining to dealing with people in the public. I’ve been using CATS many years and I’m finally glad that I recently was able to switch to a new job location and I no longer have to use CATS anymore.

QR code
The QR code never gets downloaded. I got an iphone 13. Also credit card option does not gets saved. I hace to put the same credit card for payment all the time
Ticket purchase missing
I put the ticket in this app using my debit card. My bank statement transaction show the purchase for the app did not show the purchase. I had to take screenshots proving this and put in a work ticket and saw the app but had no results for Customer.

App frequently wrong
It’s clear whatever system they use to track buses just assumes a bus is on time unless told otherwise. Buses will show as on time, then disappear off the list at the time the bus is scheduled to stop, yet the bus does not show up

Warning
Do not rely on this app to tell you when stops are temporary closed and do not rely on the “real time” arrival info. My experience was that the app directed me to a closed stop and then the next bus updated its arrival time later repeatedly before disappearing completely. Unless that bus got raptured, something is just not right with the arrival times reported.
It does seem to work fine for showing you routes and trip planning (if you check somewhere else for closed stops). And ticketing is fine too.

Unreliable
The app is buggy and inconsistent. Half the time the bus can’t read the phone screen, if you slide more than one fare the fare won’t count towards the 88 dollar limit, and the customer service doesn’t provide service. Zero stars

For visitors a better explanation of the different passes would help under the “pass type” option
