Login feature doesn’t work. Keep getting this real *cute* kissing emoji and sorry login cannot be processed… tried to get a rep or see if a AI could help, neither
App update glitches
I was logged out of the app and when I tried to log back in I kept getting error messages and could not get back in. Since the app is used for payments and controlling features in the room during a stay this is beyond annoying. I hope this is not a sign of what Marriott’s ownership will do to CitizenM.

Payment Never Works
Before & after update, I can’t even get to the screen that allows me to select a payment option w/o the “something went wrong” message. Weeks ago, when I actually did get to payment selection screen and actually picked the payment method, same thing “Error” message, never accepted payment. Instead if you try to log in online website, password never recognized, select “change password” but email never sends. If you select 7 nights, it’ll say 7 nights on the calendar, but the price options list always says 8 nights, so you never have transparency on if you’re being charged the correct amount or extra bc of their glitch. No matter the time of the day, customer service never allows you to chat with a human, after waiting for 30 minutes it’ll add an on additional 30 minute wait for service. OH and now dead smack in the middle of my November trip, the app is now claiming they’ll likely shut down to merge with Marriott, can’t wait for the technical difficulties. OMG the hassle is too frustrating for what should be an enjoyable and relaxing trip.

World class app, people, hotel
Been loyal to citizenM for over a decade and love the people, the vibe, and the amazing app which is well built. Sad the app will be discontinued as part of the Marriot acquisition. In room control was amazing feature. The team that worked on the app should be proud of their work.

This place never disappoints, I opted for the membership and breakfast this trip. And both were excellent!

We chose the CitizenM Back Bay for location and it did not disappoint! Everything we wanted to see and go to was accessible by walking, especially Fenway Park! The room was small but was all we needed for our three night stay and was on point! The bed was comfortable and the view was amazing! Would highly recommended and would stay again!

Hopeless, app does not work, don’t bother. keeps asking for a city of residence with no field to enter it. Overcomplicated nonsense.
First time here
I had a great experience overall, my only complain was that there was no ice machines, and mini fridge did not work. Everything else was very clean and smooth.

Amazing Miami Worldcenter Hotel
My wife and I stayed 2 days before our 7 day cruise from Australia loved the location close to the port.
We enjoyed being here the Hotel had a positive vibe & quirky touches that added life to the Hotel

Great Stay
Exceeded expectations. Room is small but extremely functional and clean. The iPad controls for the room are a pleasure. While overall menu is limited, the breakfast is more than adequate. Above all, every staff member was extremely friendly and attentive.

Passport scan doesn’t work
I had tried to check in ahead of time and the passport chip scanner is impossible to get working. The instructions for it are also confusing and poorly conveyed. Why can’t they just take a passport number, expiry, etc.? A classic case of more advanced tech not necessarily working better.
App control
App worked well when in room tablet failed.
FRAUDULENT BOOKING-ZERO STARS
I booked directly with the citizenm website for a stay in Paris that offered free cancellation up to 24 hrs before stay. Downloaded the app, and the booking showed in the app. Tried to cancel it later and was told that I can’t cancel in the app if booking was made by a 3rd party service. Apparently CitizenM secretly redirects the booking from their website to a 3rd party service to get around the free cancellation issue. Unbeknownst to me, the hotel was booked through Hopper (no email rec’d from them) and even Hopper said they could not cancel it because it was made through them INDIRECTLY. Also was told that Katanox could have made the reservation for Hopper. Hopper then gave me a non-working number to cancel my indirect reservation. ZERO STARS.

All Around Amazing
Everything about this place was amazing. It was close to all of our events and very modern. It had a whole vibe from the cleanliness to the common areas and flexible seating to the food and the drinks. It was my husband’s birthday and when we walked in the room there were treats and a voucher for two drinks on them. Everything in the room is basically controlled by an iPad and was so easy to use. It even had setting for moods in the room. So cool. Our particular room was spacious and plenty of room. The blackout curtains helped us sleep in the am (because we never get to sleep in). Love this place and will be back. Hopefully visit other ones too.
