Complete rip off
Does not acknowledge defensive driving certification issued by GOV AGENCY. Rate went up by $50 no valid reason. Definitely switching to another company ASAP

I got ClearCover because I was informed that my rate wouldn’t increase every renewal period. Come to learn that every renewal period, my rate has increased. My claim experience also is very slow and have been pending for nearly 3 years now, which has been handled by multiple attorneys. Lastly, you aren’t able to make split payments in the mobile app!

DO NOT USE THEM AS AN INSURER
Sort of a long explanation coming up but to sum it up for you I am now paying 1/3rd of what I was with Clearcover with a better policy RUN FOR THE HILLS AND CANCEL YOUR POLICY!!!!!
When I first started my policy Clearcover it wasn’t that bad, and I was actually pretty content. Then they increased my premium by ~33% in a year, and seemingly had zero intention of slowing down. I had no claims, no tickets, no new vehicles or drivers my entire time with them. I just switched insurers and am literally paying A THIRD of what I was with Clearcover, not to mention I have more coverage now. I literally cannot comprehend how they were legally allowed to overcharge me by such an amount, I filed multiple complaints with my state’s department of insurance and am waiting on a response from them but there’s something weird going on with this company. I have literally never cared enough to type out a review before but my experience with Clearcover could not have been worse, and their customer service managers (not reps) were completely dismissive of my concerns. They are scammers and if you started a policy with them, I urge you to stop all payments and cancel as soon as possible.

Poor Exclusive AI Customer Assistance
I have roadside assistance coverage with Clearcover but was required to provide my credit card to third party before assistance was authorized. I have been charged $93.00 for a battery recharge. Every AI option for customer service, via phone or chat, is with an AI bot and no one can answer my call despite long hold times. This is a very poor customer experience with no option to speak to a live person
