It works

I’ve done many EMDR sessions with my therapist so I’m familiar with the process. I’ve been using this app to help with slightly troubling memories and it has been helpful. I wouldn’t recommend doing EMDR on yourself if you’re trying to process “big T” trauma, as there’s a high risk of re-traumatizing yourself and being in a worse off position than when you started.

Great app for EMDR

It totally helps me and I am able to adjust it to my needs.

Errors in the meditations

The meditations have excellent content but there are errors made by the reader in almost every audio recording. I have considered paying for the premium but want to be assured that I will not experience the same errors in the meditations.

Doesn’t work fully

I paid the one time payment and tried the watch and phone. The watch would work for three vibrations then miss 2 vibrate once and nothing till I stopped the app then it would vibrate 3 or 4 times. Requested a refund as it’s causing stress not relieving it.

Response from developer

Hi Mitch, we're really sorry about that experience, the last thing we want is for the app to add stress instead of relieving it. We completely understand your decision to request a refund. We want you to know that we've since released a new app — 'EMDR Tappers 2', with a completely rebuilt, dedicated Apple Watch app designed specifically for reliable haptic bilateral stimulation. The watch experience was one of our top priorities in the rebuild. If you ever feel like giving it another chance, we'd love for you to try the new version. Just search 'EMDR Tappers 2' on the App Store. Thank you for the honest feedback.

Regularly crashes and doesn’t work well with Apple Watch

Crashes before the end of a cycle, missed vibrations or cut off beeps when watch is “active”, visuals work well on phone, but the visual gets stuck and continues to show on watch.
Doesn’t always recognise watch is active and requires multiple refreshers to work.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience. The issues you described with crashes and Apple Watch reliability are exactly why we built new EMDR Tappers 2 from the ground up. The new app has improved Apple Watch support with reliable vibration, improved stability across the board, and real-time sync between devices. We'd really appreciate it if you gave the new version a try. Just search 'EMDR Tappers 2' on the App Store. We believe it addresses every issue you've raised here. Thank you for your patience with us.

Great app

Helps me calm down.

i like ittt!

simple but good:).

Soothing

Very soothing! Love the haptics.

Does the job

Works well and is free! I’ve had it for a number of years and it stays reliable

Response from developer

Thank you for sticking with us over the years! That kind of loyalty really means the world to us! We've recently launched EMDR Tappers 2, a completely rebuilt version with a much more robust feature set, including a dedicated Apple Watch app (much more stable connection now), guided therapy sessions, and real-time session sync. If you've enjoyed this version, we think you'll love what we've built next. Thank you again for the kind words!

Bug issues

You can’t leave the app or it stops playing and when trying to select a different sound it keeps exiting out of the app /crashing.

Amazing tool!

As a therapist, sometimes my system overloads. This tool allows me to regulate my ANS in an easy to use manner and uncover the subconscious information to regain clarity and focus. I don’t get caught up in counting or wore out from tapping - I can just flow.

Response from developer

Hi Bailey, thank you so much for sharing this! It means a lot to hear how the app supports your self-regulation as a therapist. That's exactly the kind of experience we designed it for. We've since launched a completely rebuilt version called EMDR Tappers 2, with expanded features like real-time session sync between therapist and client devices, guided sessions, and a dedicated Apple Watch app for haptics. We think you'd really enjoy it as both a practitioner and a user. Thank you for being part of this journey!

Mixed

Guided sessions are a bit mixed. Part of this therapy is eye movement and so far several of the guided sessions request you to close your eyes missing a big part of these sessions. Also, guided sessions should have re-recorded when they mess up speaking. Feels lazy and cheap when I hear it. Sure it happens when you are speaking in live sessions but these are recordings, spend a minute and re-record to get it clean

Rip off and money grab

They get you to download the app which only come with “vibrations” which isn’t what it is, then haptics for and up charge, I was using phone and watch which you have to restart every-time to make it work. Besides the point on the watch in haptics is felt like normal emdr vibrations my phone how ever still felt like a shot sound kind of vibration no actual vibrating. It also confused me about the price and subscriptions and got $10 out of me to have one vibration happen on my watch and my phone to make a noise. Also my watch would only vibrate if I was looking at it, I used this app for 10 mins want my money back :(

Not worth it for one time or regular subscription

Regularly crashes when selecting guided session option

Absolute scam due to the exorbitant charge for minimal customizability

This is not a trapper. It doesn’t vibrate. Just sound and a bouncing ball.

The vibrations function (you know the tapper portion) does not work. After watching some reviews on YouTube, I quickly realized it’s the app not me. Their own instructional video on YouTube doesn’t even acknowledge that a vibrations function exists.

Not bilateral

I really wanted to like this app! But whether it’s on my phone or my iPad, the tones are not bilateral. They only sound in one ear. Any help for me?

Not bilateral

I really wanted to like this app! But whether it’s on my phone or my iPad, the tones are not bilateral. They only sound in one ear. I emailed the company, but never heard anything back. I was hoping it was just something I needed to learn about the settings. I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure it out on my own. Anyway, anybody here know about an app that similar to this that they’ve had good success with? I don’t mind paying.

Super helpful! I think! First day

Great and easy to use!

Doesn’t really work with Apple Watch

I think this is a cool idea. I don’t have two phones so maybe it works great that way. The tapping does not work on the watch past the 70 second stay awake which is the max stay awake setting the Apple Watch allows. I would not have given this review but the developer keeps saying that the app works well with Apple 5+ because they have the setting that it can stay awake forever, but that’s not the case. I have a series 9 and the max setting is still 70 seconds before it goes to sleep and stops pinging the watch. I tried keeping my thumb on the watch to keep it awake like someone else suggested and that did not work. I just think this app doesn’t work well with the Apple Watch do to the limitations of the Apple Watch design. It’s a shame.

Watch pairing issue

I’ve just downloaded the app and the watch/phone version doesn’t seem to working properly. The watch vibration/sound cuts out half way through, while the phone continues to do the passes. Is there a way to fix this please?
