Not mobile friendly
Hard to submit claims. Doesn’t allow to attach documents from file folder. You have to take a picture and submit via the photos folder. Putting dates in while scrolling through years, the app always turns off. It’s not user friendly or mobile friendly. Also taking to long to get back to us after submitting claims

Updated App is Broken
Page gets stuck for minutes after every clock/step
Terrible
The app is so slow, you have to click an answer a minimum of 5 times before it will register, and will not respond often. This is my husband’s plan and am grateful I rarely have to use it!
Disappointing all around
Extremely laggy interface. Multi-second delay between pushing a button and action. Also very frustrating to have to manually re-enter second policy holder info every single time instead of being able to save, especially given how slow the interface is. Many app functions simply repeatedly send you to the website sign-in page (in a new window). So disappointed this is my new provider.

Great when it works. Often doesn’t.
App is super slow to respond to pressing options. Takes forever and seems like it’s frozen. Latest iOS version on date of review. iPhone 16
Horrible and Slow
The EZ Claim app is slow and freezes up with every section you try and fill out. It makes it such a headache that you have to submit claims one at a time. If you have multiple claims to submit it takes forever waiting for the app to process it.
Worst insurance app ever
The claim form is extremely difficult to navigate. The radio button and text fields are super off. You tap option A, option B will be selected. It’s 2026, I can’t believe a big company like equitable life couldn’t pay proper developers and QAs to build a decent mobile app 👎👎👎

Worst app to submit claims
So hard to use the app especially with dual coverage. It doesn’t take auto submission most of the time if Equitable is the secondary coverage. The whole process is such a hassle compared to other insurance apps.
Slooooowwwww
Clicking a checkbox takes 10 seconds round trip on iPhone. Slowest app in the universe.
Difficult app
Make it look more like an app and less like a PC browser.
Frustrating app
The app does not work properly. Only the first few drop downs and from there it’s HORRIBLE it doesn’t recognize you are pressing the button. I’ve even deleted it and reinstalled it. I hate using it. It’s time consuming because it doesn’t recognize you doing anything and this company takes about a week to get your money but my other company pays within 24-48 hrs. 100% would not recommend this app but unfortunately I’m stuck using it. It’s so slow and so is the company for getting your money back to you. 😡

Glitchy, unresponsive
Generating a claim, including selecting options, typing or scrolling in this app is an ordeal. It is unresponsive, often not registering touches, typing or scrolling gestures for minutes. iPhone 16 Pro, only app running. Use the web browser instead of this steaming pile.
Quick claim submission
Very nice and simple claim submission, just need ability to attach documents (not just photo upload) as some invoices are in PDF
Slow loading
This app is slooooooow!!! Takes ten mins to submit one dental claim.
Abandoned, frustrating, and useless
This is a clunky “app” with terrible UX. I put “app” in quotes because this is just the mobile website running in a shell.
It’s barely functional for browsing claims, but that’s it. The main reason it’s useless is that you can only upload photos, not files. 100% of the receipts I need to submit for claims are digital files, but this app only lets you upload from your camera roll; this makes it pointless to use.
It also makes you log in every time you open it because, again, this isn’t actually an app. So you might as well just go to the website, which you’ll have a better chance of staying logged in.
Customer service for the app is slow and unhelpful — it took months to get a coherent reply from rep after rep who didn’t even understand how the app works at a basic level.
And it hasn’t been meaningfully updated in many years — in fact, it has regressed. It used to support FaceID, but they removed that so that every session is fresh, as if you just installed it.
Honestly, this app is a useless joke. The company doesn’t support it at all, and has zero resources for making something that has even a basic level of competence.

Not very impressed
I’ve had other carriers with much better apps. With this mobile app you are forced to upload documents either directly from the camera or from the photo library. I prefer all my documents in a clean PDF format but the app will not allow me to browse elsewhere on my device to grab the PDF files to attach.
I also find the app finicky, depending on what I’m trying to do. I don’t like how I must sign into the app, but if I click on certain menu items, it takes me away from the app and into a web browser, where I have to login again! Then, if I want to go back to the app, I must login yet again. Seems completely unintuitive to me. The movement from the mobile app to browser based app should be seamless, if it is absolutely necessary for it to happen at all.
I also don’t like how long it takes to be able to see claim information. With my previous provider, I could see everything right away. Maybe it wasn’t approved yet, but I could see that the claim I had just submitted actually worked. I submitted a claim days and days ago and it has never shown up. So I have no way of knowing if it actually got submitted and someone is waiting to adjudicate it at Equitable, or whether the claim didn’t upload at all.
I would also like to be able to do an Excel or .csv upload of claim data for income tax purposes, as a PDF in that case, isn’t always helpful.
I think Equitable should have had more user input before releasing this app and immense improvements are necessary.

Irritation
Difficult having to fill everything out for each visit to chiropractor!!!
Horrible user experience, design and functionality
Feels like the app just opens a bunch of web pages masquerading as an app.
Clicking in each input takes multiple hits and is frustrating.
