Online delivery is a SCAM!
Thinking about using their online delivery? Read this first!
I tried using the coupon for $30 off from a minimum purchase of $75. At the checkout
screen, I confirmed that my discount was applied and was initially charged the discount
price (around $40). I selected no substitutions on some items, which is normal
considering some people prefer one brand over another or maybe no equivalent product
exists. I received an email receipt shortly after reflecting the $40 charged.
As the order proceeded, some products were out of stock, including one item I chose to
have no substitutions. No big deal, right? Just skip it and subtract it from the $40.
Except now since this item was being excluded from my overall order, the total price fell
below the $75 threshold needed for the discount to apply. Because of this, Kroger (the
parent company) charged me the full $75 order.
A reasonable company would have simply subtracted this item from the total discount
price ($40 - X), just like how Uber Eats already does. If I had known that Kroger
wouldn’t honor this, I would have preferred for my order outright cancelled instead.
Customer support was of no help; they dismissed my complaint, wouldn’t look at my
email receipt, and stated under no circumstances would the discount price minus the
excluded item be honored.
This means that if you try using this or a similar promotion, you’re essentially gambling
on your store having exactly all products in your cart (including substitutions) and your
outsourced Instacart shopper not skipping any items that would result in you not
meeting the threshold. Maybe your total order was $80 and one missing product costs
$10. Or your total order was $100 and you’re missing a combination of items totaling
$30. Guess what? You’re going to be charged the FULL amount!
Do yourself a favor, use Uber Eats instead. They honor their total discount price and
have better coupons with lower maximum thresholds from time to time. Don’t give this
company your time or money!

No Network Connection
I am not able to search for food items from home or the store. I get the error message No Network Connection even when I am connected to the network.
Update made everything more difficult
The update made everything buggy. When I try to save an item to list , it doesn’t do anything. It used to! Not to mention finding things are harder. It’s not user friendly at all and I pretty good when it comes to navigating tech … update was not needed. If made it more complicated and buggy !
