Loving FreshBooks for my small business! Invoicing is simple and helps me track hours on client projects.
Would love it if mileage tracker was more intuitive and linked customer database automatically instead of having to manually customers address. Also would be nice to be able to reverse the route on the mileage tracker and not have to reenter the same info from the trip to. Seems like a major feature missing.

Keeps Buggin
Everytime I login on the app, it brings me to a “sign up page” and then switches to the three jumping dots and never loads. Waited over an hour for it to load but never did. Webpage works fine but really got FreshBooks over Quickbooks since it said it had a more friendly app. Apparently not if I can’t even log on.

Great company, flaky app
I love the company and the support but the app is not great. This latest release seems to be worse. Searching by customer name should be easy. Showing the outstanding balance for that customer seems like common sense. The app should show the same info on a customer as it does online but that’s never the case.
If a customer asks how much do I owe you in total I should be able to trust that the app is correct but I can’t

Avoid company at all costs
They use stripe as their payment processor making life pretty difficult when you’re actually dealing with 2-3 companies rather than 1.

Wish there was a way to see projects and add new ones!
Slow, useless app
Terrible app, logs out,slow, and ultra basic ( in a bad way)
6years of use
I’ve been using this site for my invoices for about six years and I don’t know what update they did but it’s beginning to really annoy me and I’m searching for a new invoice app. The drop down menu is glitching, I don’t want to add a new item every time I invoice I am having difficulties that didn’t exist before. Annoyed.

More bugs than an outhouse
Web browser version on desktop is ok, mobile app is super glitchy.
Terribly optimized app
Always crashes, server syncing is spotty and fails at every login. Erases all work unless explicitly saved. I can’t imagine most of these reviews being legitimate with how poorly programmed this app and data infrastructure is
Constantly logs out
App constantly logs out every other day and doesn’t sync properly.
When going into a client and clicking the view all invoices link button, there’s no way to go back but to force close app. The interface is missing a back arrow.
Often when creating or duplicating an expense, clicking the bottom row of icons to switch to different section of the app after saving the new expense, crashes the app.

Best for micro business
I trialed QBO, Xero and Wave as well as Freshbooks. Stuck with Freshbooks because it’s the most intuitive and easy to use app.
Nice complementary workflows between the mobile app and desktop web version. Has everything I and my accountant need and is easy to use.
Support seems excellent too based on a few calls I made asking for help.

Most used addresses
Can you please add a feature to save addresses in the mileage tracker. Thank you!
Not MTD compliment apart from VAT
Sadly I’m going to have to move away from this app and port all my accounts away. I’ve been enjoying Freshbooks for a few years now but have to use a gov approved service to submit quarterly income reports for MTD (UK problem). Freshbooks do it for VAT but not the new landlords and sole traders legislation. Wish I didn’t have to move but I can’t not at this point. Very disappointed.

Two bugs that cost me
FreshBooks acknowledged two bugs in their software. I’m sure there’s more but these two have directly impacted me and I still got charged full price and they refused to refund any of the money I’ve paid.

App doesn’t match online
The app doesn’t match what I see when I login online so that’s disturbing. A customer told me that they saw a late fee which doesn’t show in the app. When I login online their invoice shows a different amount than it does viewing it through the app.
Constantly fails
Ridiculous. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to sign in it asks for a code, even though EVERY SINGLE TIME I CLICK “REMEMBER THIS DEVICE “ and then half the time I finally get on it tells me I have no invoices and I can’t access my customers! Please, fix this issue!! I’ve put up with it for a long time now and I’m over it!!!

It is virtually impossible to cancel this from the app.
Good but crash a lot on the mobile apps
I love FreshBooks and its user-friendly interface. It’s perfect for the web browser version, but unfortunately, it crashes frequently when I use it on my phone. Even after the latest updates, the problem persists. I’ve been using it for a few months now, and that’s the only big downside. Additionally, I would appreciate more customization options for the app’s layout of information.
