The best investment
We got this for our black lab. We have a blue heeler and she listens but our lab needed a little more help to stay in the yard since we live on a farm! It took 15 min and she already knew where she could and couldn’t go. I am looking for one for my heeler just for when we travel or are at our parents houses just as a safety. I love this and will always use! Battery life is amazing. Being able to make your own fences at home and at my parents and inlaws has been so helpful!

Halo Collars work wonderful!
Adopted two one year old dogs from the shelter. Knowing they need to run to burn energy we purchased collars for each one hoping they will keep them on our acreage. They work better than we expected! Highly recommended and well worth the money.
Constant Issues
Constant issue. Replace replace replace every few months. And our dogs only go outside 3-4 times a day.
Bad connection
My dogs do stay on my property, but every time I open the app to see their location I wait for it to load the location and it never shows. Even waiting as long as 10 minutes it won’t show. The only time it shows accurately is when the collars are hooked up to WiFi, which defeats the purpose of having them outside with the collars on!

Perfect solution
The Halo collar is the perfect solution for our needs. It’s easy to setup and use, and only took about 10 minutes for our Irish setter to acclimate to. We did not want a fence but this allows our girl to safely run her heart out. It’s also convenient to be able to take her to other locations and quickly setup a safe barrier. Great product!

Great at first, not anymore
Halo collar was great for about 6 months. Then it started giving warning shocks while my dog was inside the house! I called customer support three separate times and was charged to be told that the fence may be too close to the house. Just two days ago my dog was sitting in the front yard within the fence and was being given more warnings! This is cruel to my dog and very confusing as well! I’m canceling the service this week!

Lag in sync
Works well and the beep has kept our dog in the boundary, but the app takes too long to sync to the collar when you open it. Which is a set back when you need it for quick corrective reasons like barking or chasing wildlife.

Works great!
This collar does its job at keeping my dog inside my 1.7 Acre property. I use to have problems with him going to the woods and bringing back ticks and also the neighbors complaining about him going into their yard to leave them presents. But no more! I have to admit I didn’t use the recommended training. I just put the collar on him and he crossed the boundary that first time and never again. No he knows that when he hears the ringing notification on his collar it’s time to step back in the safe zone. Highly recommend it.

Beware
If you have acreage and want a reliable collar do not use this one. Two days in a row…I can’t afford for my dogs to get out and someone sue us. Not worth money.

I can’t believe you spend $599 for a collar and when it doesn’t want to charge properly anymore you have to second $200 to replace it.

Takes too long to connect
Works well when connected but it takes mins for it to give up to date information and spends a lot of time “attempting to connect”. Could be the location where I live and our WiFi that causes the delay as I live out in the country.
All around great
We have loved the collars and the peace of mind they bring us. The customer service was super helpful and friendly. We recommend Halo to everyone we know with dogs!
Wouldn’t buy again
Battery is terrible, works for like 6/8 hours. Have to pay 500+ dollars for product then pay a monthly subscription. The range isn’t far at all so good if you have a small yard. I definitely would not buy again. If you’re someone who has lots of land and money for the beacons then sure it’s alight. Takes 20 seconds or more to connect to dog once starting the app.
