Terrible app and website
Consistently logs me out and tells me the new password I just created is wrong. Very annoying.

Seriously I update the app and it has technical issues to let me login. What’s the point of having an app?
Anti-user - Passkeys
Forcing users to set up passkeys (usually by downloading the mobile app) is incredibly anti-consumer. There is no reason the website platform should not be accessible using username and password + 2 factor authentication. If this account was not created through my employer I would move it to another platform today. I will be sure to include this information to my employer on our yearly survey and recommend we switch providers. Many employees share the same sentiment. On top of that, not being able to invest our funds as we choose is also not competitive, plus requiring minimum of $1000 in cash sitting doing nothing. It should at least earn a competitive yield of 3%+ but only yields 0.05%. Previous employer used fidelity, which allowed users to invests in stocks as they choose with no minimum threshold. Extremely disappoint with HealthEquity so far.

Brutally bad
Changing any security settings leaves users in an endless loop. Avoid using the app if possible. I have to call their support multiple times of the years to get account unlocked. The app does not play well with APIs as a result of their poor security settings.

The authentication service for linking any Health Equity account is broken and the devs who made this app are too incompetent to fix it.

HealthEquity sucks
Can’t login on the first try almost ever, UI is terrible, fees are outrageous. Unfortunately my company uses this horrible platform. But for those of us in the same boat, there is an escape! Transfer your HSA money to Fidelity! You can do this via indirect rollover to avoid the $25 fee, or you can look into getting Fidelity to reimburse you for the fee. Get your money out of HealthEquity!

I am not interested in setting up a "passkey" for my account. The security level of my account, and I repeat MY ACCOUNT, should be my choice. I am going to close my entire account with your company because everything about it has gotten worse. I am glad the few customers you will have left will feel secure. Good job🤦♀️

Can’t add a Passkey
Passkey is not compatible with Microsoft Authentificator. The only other option is to scan a code, but - geniuses - how can we scan a code if the app is on the phone we use?? So cannot use the app anymore now.

Absolute Worst Flex Account App Ever
Over the course of the years I’ve used many flexible spending account apps. Health equity is easily the worst I’ve ever used. I have never been able to login without changing my password. Their technical support is terrible. I feel like it’s just a waste of money going into this account.

Can’t scroll down expenses to add docs
The last update removed efficiency from before. On this iphone15 OS26.5, I cannot attach documents for expenses. Scrolling doesn’t work. Shouldn’t have been forced to update when functionality decreased.
This app is garbage
This is probably the worst app in the Apple App Store. It’s a joke how terrible it is. Be sure to sort by date to see reviews, they are all 1 star. It’s like they know how bad it is, but they don’t care.
Still has passkey errors
Got all excited there was a new update. Still can’t login. Passkey error every single time. Have recreated them twice already and not wanting to suffer through another round just to have it not work again. This is completely unacceptable for an app that is the only way to access reimbursement, since their website just forces you to use the app.

Fees eat you alive
This is an extremely high fee HSA option compared to others on the market. The $25 fee per transfer out is completely unreasonable

Now they are forcing you to create another password…on top of the password you have. “Calling it passkey” to trick idiots in giving the government the code to your phone. Is next level below avg iq business.
Document view is still broken after years of usage…
Somehow, the document view keep showing the same date for all the documents. This bug has been around for years and has not been addressed. I don’t know what kind of improvements you guys are doing, but having basic disability of the application polished is a must. So far, the app is slow, and buggy.

Awful
This app is awful and complicated to use. I use my computer to look at my account but now it sends a notification through the app where you have to confirm that it’s you logging in on a desktop computer witch is fine thank you for the security but the app doesn’t work half the time so now I can’t even view my profile on my computer… can you please make this app easier to use!!
