Terrible app and website
Consistently logs me out and tells me the new password I just created is wrong. Very annoying.

Seriously I update the app and it has technical issues to let me login. Whatβs the point of having an app?
Anti-user - Passkeys
Forcing users to set up passkeys (usually by downloading the mobile app) is incredibly anti-consumer. There is no reason the website platform should not be accessible using username and password + 2 factor authentication. If this account was not created through my employer I would move it to another platform today. I will be sure to include this information to my employer on our yearly survey and recommend we switch providers. Many employees share the same sentiment. On top of that, not being able to invest our funds as we choose is also not competitive, plus requiring minimum of $1000 in cash sitting doing nothing. It should at least earn a competitive yield of 3%+ but only yields 0.05%. Previous employer used fidelity, which allowed users to invests in stocks as they choose with no minimum threshold. Extremely disappoint with HealthEquity so far.

Brutally bad
Changing any security settings leaves users in an endless loop. Avoid using the app if possible. I have to call their support multiple times of the years to get account unlocked. The app does not play well with APIs as a result of their poor security settings.
