False Advertising - Cannot Reserve Two Bikes with One account
The App Store Page explicitly states “One account can reserve multiple electric-assist bicycles at the same time.” However we found this to not be true. There was no way to register two bikes at the same time in the app or any loophole way of registering two bikes by using the QR code, etc.
I have a Japanese Phone # so I was able to register in the App however my fiancé does not so when we made our plans we explicitly needed a service that could use multiple bikes. We were very happy that Hello Cycle had this feature and based our entire day around it. When we arrived at the station and tried reserving the two bikes that were there, we were only able to reserve one and use one. Any time I tried to reserve the other bike I would be prompted by saying that I could not reserve it since I was already using a bike and would need to return it prior to reserving another. I was also using a credit card as payment for full disclosure.
The FAQ and User Help were also useless with this issue and we didn’t have all day to go through the troubleshooting help from the company. Due to the fact that they lied and we were unable to use their service as written, here’s a 1-star review.
All this to say, do not use this service if you 1) Do not have a Japanese phone # 2) Need to use multiple bikes with one account.

Useless for uk tourists

Make sure you have a Japanese number
The app doesnt take Uk phone numbers so it makes it impossible to use and the app and website is entirely in Japanese with no option to change the language
