The Worst.
If you’re going to Canada and plan on using Holafly, just don’t. Was charged $67 for 11 days of unlimited usage but the service was absolutely unusable. No connection whatsoever most days and the days we were able to get a connection, the download speeds were abysmally slow. Like dial-up modem in 1996 slow. Their clearly AI-first customer service was pretty useless. Tried all their solutions and none of it worked. Basically whoever they use as their supplier in Canada is straight garbage. I noticed it would flick between BELL and TELUS with the same results so perhaps the issue is with Holafly themselves. Regardless of the issue, we paid $67 for basically next to no service.
It was so bad that I switched to a competitor mid-trip. And guess what, the competitor’s service was totally fine. So whatever the issue was, it was a them-thing, not a me-thing.
To make matters worse, when I applied for a refund, they somehow arrived at $14 as the total refund. According to their own records, I had used 2.26GB of data which means that for those 2GB I ended up paying an eye-watering $26 per gigabyte! Whatever you do, just steer clear of this company!
