Too old fashioned and useless
It's a shame that HSBC Egypt still uses this old fashioned and outdated app. The app is absolutely useless.

Very poor and old crafted app not suitable to use in 2026 it’s like you are using a Microsoft Windows 95
The worst
Easily the worst app I’ve used. It hardly opens, and on the rare occasion that it even does, it’s completely useless. You can’t get anything done.

…however, I cannot login. Asking “what is your memorable answer” is not helpful when you do not provide the corresponding question. There are no alternatives - use of key, passkey, reset and spinning on hold with customer service doesn’t help. Same problems with the website.

Old and embarrassing App
Many people wrote reviews here 9 years ago saying the App is old. Well, it has been changed. It is now ancient. They should deploy it to the Apps museum instead of App Store.
Just logging in requires a password memorised and the number representing the order of every letter in the password. Seriously guys, can’t you update it to be Face ID login?
And that’s one example. Compared to other HSBC apps I have in my other HSBC accounts, this App is the Dinosaur of HSBC Apps.

Very bad
The app is too old, very difficult to use. At least add the biometric login.
Scam & fraud
Dont banking with them specially Sri lanka. Credit card scammers. Credit Card beggars. Should ban from apple app store. If once go forever you have to pay for them. they keep adding cents by cents without knowing you. after years later you have to pay big amounts without even knowing or any statements.

It’s 2025, this app is a shame, very poorly drafted, UI looks like it’s designed by 6 years old, functionality of the app is a joke, I’ve 4 different HSBC apps for different countries, can believe that HSBC is allowing this poor customer experience from HSBC Egypt.

Worst banking app ever! I have the UK app and it’s so much better and faster. Making a transaction takes so many unnecessary steps. Transfer requests via secure messages is a joke

From HSBC Sri Lanka. The worst banking app. I also have HSBC UK and UAE. This app is no way near to them. A significant improvement expected. A very poor app.
Bad app experience
The app still using an old interface and is totally away from the good online banking experience which other banks provide. Only use to check your balance from it and nothing more can be done.
