Works fine for me
- No problems at all with the app and the charging stations I had use 2 different stations so far and they had work perfectly fine.
I can stop and begging charging with the app with not issues at all also I didn’t have any problem with randomly charging stopping.
I guess they had fix that issue.
- They DO charge me $15 every time I used their charger but it’s like a hold amount that they reimburse after a couple days. This amount is extra from whatever you bill is so basically every time I used the charger charger I have 2 different charges one for $15 and the other one for what I had consumed. This might be a little annoying but since I used my credit card it doesn’t really bother me at all. But always good for you to know in case you’re using a debit card. So take it in consideration.
It use to be free
Easy Setup and Charging
Don’t use this. Not worth it
This should be replaced with a credit card reader.
terrible charging shouldn’t need app
Pos
Selecting a Station to Start a Charge Needs Work
In the old Volta and later the Shell app, they would group each cluster of chargers into a single site where you then select the site then choose the charger from a list. I prefer that approach over what is used now on the app.
Waste and expensive
Don’t bother downloading
Expensive but worked seamlessly
QR code and charger code
Forced app that does not work
I just want to charge my vehicle , not spend 5 minutes downloading and setting up another charging app!
App does not work
Membership or no charging
Absolute trash
You have to download the app and input everything short of your Social Security number. Like Why do they need my home address? Clearly to sell my information. But it’s probably sold so many times already in this day and age so whatever I agree. Then it starts charging at a rate of 0.1 kW. Then it randomly stops charging and I get an email that I’m being charged idle time.
My lease is almost done on my E-tron. And overall while i enjoy not hearing the drone/roar of an engine and that sweet torque. There’s just such a lack of convenience to charge outside of your own house.
The worst charging infrastructure
HORRIBLE!
Worst App Ever!!
The account setup process proved fundamentally broken: the field auto-populated the country code in addition to my entering it manually, truncating my phone number by a digit. Consequently, the validation text was dispatched to a nonexistent number, rendering account verification impossible. I returned to correct the error, only to find the same defect reproduced itself identically. One begins to suspect this is not an isolated bug but a structural failure of the input validation logic.
Beyond this, the subscription tier descriptions were a model of obfuscation — needlessly verbose, internally inconsistent, and ultimately unilluminating. I sought clarification through the help function, which offered none of substance.
To compound matters, the charging unit's integrated credit card reader — ostensibly a fallback for precisely this sort of failure — was itself non-functional.
In sum: a thoroughly unprofessional experience from end to end. I will not be using JOLT chargers or their accompanying application again, and I'd recommend you spare yourself the trouble and seek alternatives.
A note to the development team, since I suspect you'll dismiss this as user error: I have spent a career in IT. This is not a competence gap on my end. Your app is broken, and the underlying engineering reflects it.
Updated review
But the one thing that I disagree with is pricing for electricity within the mid Atlantic & southern regions where electricity rates drop well below 30 cents a kilowatt hour. Gas is cheaper within those regions and the electricity rates should reflect that.
