Great update, much easier to manage my health!

I’ve been using this app to manage my family's appointments and follow-ups at Manipal. The recent updates have made a huge difference. Booking appointments takes just a couple of taps, and I love that I don't have to carry around physical files anymore since my lab reports are right there on my phone. The UI feels a lot smoother now compared to older versions. Definitely saves a ton of time standing at the hospital reception.

Worst experience

I had a very disappointing experience at Manipal Hospital.

Despite being under treatment, I received no proper support for follow-up. When the prescribed medicines did not work and my symptoms worsened, I tried reaching out to the doctor for guidance. However, there was no response to calls or any attempt to assist remotely.

Instead, it felt like I was being pushed to visit the hospital again just to pay another consultation fee, even for concerns directly related to the ongoing treatment. This approach is extremely frustrating, especially when a patient is already unwell and seeking basic medical support.

A healthcare provider should prioritize patient care and timely guidance, particularly in situations where treatment is not working as expected. Lack of communication and support like this reduces trust and adds unnecessary stress.

Occasionally works

Every time I use this app, there is either some problem or the other. The app either fails to load any content, or fails to perform any task. Now it is unable to even load my own profile properly even though I’m logged in. My data is not showing and I am unable to make or book appointments. I am also unable to see past reports. I initially thought it was my Internet issue but it happens no matter what Internet I am connected to including the hospitals wifi.

Worst Experience – App Needs Major Fixes

This app is a complete disappointment. Critical features like Lab Reports, Prescriptions, Doctor Appointment Booking, and Payment Details are either missing or not visible at all. There’s a serious lack of transparency and absolutely no support when it comes to financial transactions — no confirmation, no history, no help.

Features meant for corporate users (like adding employee details) are completely broken. It’s shocking that these bugs haven’t been fixed despite many users reporting the same issues in their reviews. Clearly, the app team at Manipal Hospitals is not listening or responding to user feedback.

This is a healthcare app — reliability, clarity, and user support are not optional; they are essential. As it stands, this app is not just poorly made — it’s irresponsible.

Efficient Care , One App

Finally , a hospital app that genuinely works! From finding doctors to checking wait times and even getting my reports , the Manipal App has proven to be incredibly useful. It’s intuitive and makes navigating the hospital system much less daunting . Kudos to the developer!

App performance is an issue

Update 1 year later :
App still doesn’t load. Even after uninstall and delete. Who tests this app before release ?
Older review :
The app performance is just terrible. For several instances it takes very long to load. Logging in , booking appointments are simple transactions that can be done today on many apps but it’s a pain to get through with this app. It looks like it’s designed for an integrated experience where a patient should be able to have all info at their finger tips but the reality is far from that. For now baby steps please. Look at delivering the basic minimum - smooth logging and appointment management ( booking cancelling rescheduling and paying ) end to end well. That itself will be great.

Unreliable and Frustrating Experience

The Manipal Hospitals app is disappointing. It fails to load properly most of the time, often just showing a blank screen. Even when it does work, the appointment booking feature is extremely buggy and frustrating to use. For an app that’s supposed to make healthcare more accessible, this is far from user-friendly. It needs a major update to fix these issues.

Going from bad to worse

The App has now become completely worthless. Doesn’t even get past the OTP stage. If you get lucky to log-in then none of the options seem to work. Support teams over email, X or Facebook just turn a blind eye.

Also the Report section does not mention the date of the test nor is it sorted in any order for any Encounter ID. The user has to use his brains to locate the latest data.

Unable to go past login or skip login screen. Rendering the app useless.

Horrible app

Is anyone even looking at fixing the bugs in this app? It fails to detect a network connection. Doesn’t show up appointments that were booked via the website using the same name/phone number/UHID. Half the time the app doesn’t work. Pls fix this or else you might as well just remove the app from App Store and instead encourage people to just use the website

Best One!!

I have been using this app since before the COVID pandemic. It's a big assistance for scheduling appointments and checking lab reports. And I always paid consultation fees through this app by UPI, which was successfully paid. Why did lots of people kicked up tremendous fuss about this app when they were unable to utilize it properly?!!!

If the App is this bad, what about healthcare ?

Manipal hospitals calls itself a corporate leader in healthcare, yet the app can’t even pull up my previous reports or bills, if developing a functional app is challenging, im not sure how they’re managing something as complex as healthcare ! Maybe they should focus on patient care as much as they do on highFi treatment, after all if they can’t keep an app healthy, how can they assure us they can do the same for a person ? Pathetic

Excellent service from Dr Rawat and team at the Manipal Hospital

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Dr Rawat Lakshman and his team of doctors for treating my mom for her knee replacement surgery taken place a month ago at the Sarjapur hospital
Apart from the surgery that was scheduled at our connivence , the after care was exceptionally successful
Specially would like to thank Dr Neil, Dr Manoj and the “Physioterrorist” group for their motivation and dedication to their patients

Heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff who work tirelessly to monitor every patient
Last but not the least would also like to thank the canteen staff and the ward delivery caterers who provide hot and sumptuous meals and treats for visitors as well
Special thanks to the security guards who at the time of departure so lovingly helped my mom into the car
Thanks again for everything, my mom is now graduated from usin g the walker to walking stick and now to walking on her own

Report Delayed Not Communicated Properly

I never liked Manipal because of their lack of empathy or their coordination. This is the perfect example of a multi-speciality hospital where no one knows anything. I had to go because of emergency and they took a scan and told I’ll get the reports soon. When I called them after 12 hours they mentioned will send in an hour. Call them again after hour, they put me on hold for 30 mins and they said 5 mins back hospital called you and you didn’t pickup their call. So it’s not our fault. Then the hospital calls 30 mins later and tells the report will be available in 24-48 hours. Good joke. You couldn’t tell this in the morning when we came to emergency. With all of these Manipal ensure people do not come to them even in emergencies. Thank you Manipal for reinforcing the trust I’ve in you that you may have good doctors but administration and communication is the worst.

Ok. Needs work on a few areas

The app is good for finding doctors and their availability especially the "next available slot" option
That said, there are a few issues
1. App is very slow to open
2. Payment made online does not show on the hospital records and you have to go through a lengthy process of paying once again and then waiting for the refund of the online payment
3. Even after paying online, you have again stand in queue to open appointment in the hospital before you can actually see the doctor

Pls fix these issues
