Can’t use it to pay rickshaws
The only reason I got this was to pay the hardest things to find cash for - rickshaws! But despite Mony saying you can use it for uber, you can’t.

We have had a lot of issues with this app. I believe their systems are not fully ready to account for all situations.
Lots of times payments will get declined without any explanation.
Sometimes, payment will be declined and refund won’t make it.
If you return a product, the refund won’t make it back.
Support is an AI chatbot, which is trained well for generic queries but not such complex matters. I am waiting for them to get back to me on multiple matters. I am in-terms that my money is gone.
For NRIs I would recommend to proceed with caution, keep minimal money here, try to use cash or credit card where possible.

Stopped working
There has been a sharp decline in the usability of this app. It first worked Ok, but within couple of days of that, the UPI payments stopped working, and eventually The QR scan feature of the app completed stopped working.
This kind of reliability is garbage and I cannot recommend this app to anyone.

Very convenient
It’s really great being able to use the no-fee UPI system with small vendors who would otherwise be hit by credit card fees. The only annoyance is if the vendor is using a personal account to receive payment. Mony doesn’t support that.

I downloaded MONY because it was marketed as an easy way for international visitors and NRIs to use UPI in India. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite.
The app charged me inactivity fees simply because I wasn’t using it between trips to India. That makes little sense for a product designed for people who travel internationally and may only visit once or twice a year.
When I actually needed the app during my latest trip, it barely worked. Transactions failed, I couldn’t transfer my own money to another personal UPI account, and I had previously been charged for a failed transaction that was never properly resolved.
To make matters worse:
* Customer support is slow and mostly automated.
* WhatsApp support just redirects you back to the app.
* It’s difficult to view transaction history.
* I ended up losing thousands of rupees because of the app’s policies and limitations.
If you’re an international traveler looking for a reliable UPI solution, I’d strongly recommend considering other options. A financial app should make accessing your money easier—not harder.
I will be closing my account and cannot recommend this service based on my experience.

Money Stuck, No Customer Support
Very disappointing experience. Customer support was responsive only until I loaded money into my wallet. After that, they stopped responding altogether.
I loaded ₹10,000, but not a single merchant QR code has worked for me. I’ve reported the issue multiple times through their support channels and have received no meaningful response or resolution.
Based on my experience, it feels like I was misled into loading money that I couldn’t actually use. I cannot recommend this app until they improve both their payment reliability and customer support.

Everything seems normal, snappy, some funky ui but nothing blockers. The have promos but you can’t use it because it reached it limits. However nowhere there’s a limit disclaimer. Note: I have not ever used the promo, I’m assuming it’s first 10 or something stupid like that.

Worst app ever
Does not work most of the times - says invalid merchant and does not allow QR code scan. Worst experience ever.
App not working all day
All day I’ve tried multiple merchants to use the scanner to pay for items, including a hospital, a big brand grocery store and the Blinkit app. Nothing is working and the app support help AI is not working at all. No response or assistance. No where to speak to a human for help and my money is stuck on this app!!

After using for a few days, suddenly the app says upi QR codes are not valid for multiple vendors. Support will not respond.

Don’t bother with this app, it’s an embarrassment
Got this app to use the money I had to pay while visiting friends and family, while this app worked 1 out of 10 times. Other times, I had to very embarrassingly ask someone else to pay as my app wasn’t working. Also, now I cannot pay them with this app, as personal upi transfer are not enabled.
Overall 0/10 on usability.

Only works for couples of days and the qr scan not reading to any business merchants
From seamless to a total nightmare—broken app and zero support
I’m incredibly frustrated. When I first started using this app, everything worked seamlessly, and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, that didn't last. The app has become completely unreliable, and I am now dealing with major technical failures.
The QR scanner is entirely broken and refuses to scan at any merchant—from major retailers like Amazon to various airport services. It is clearly a systemic issue with the app itself, not the merchants. Even worse, the app has caused serious financial headaches. I have always maintained a 5-digit balance in my wallet, but the app has duplicated transactions, charging me three times for a single purchase (e.g., ₹9,000 for a ₹3,000 transaction). Thankfully, the merchants were honest enough to refund me, but I had to go through the grueling process of manually identifying the errors and contacting each merchant individually to recover my money.
To top it all off, customer support is non-existent. You are trapped in an endless loop with an AI chatbot that never leads to a human, and the phone support line just redirects you back to the app, which is already broken. I’ve reached out via email multiple times without receiving a single response. I am using an iPhone 16 Pro and have exhausted every support channel available. If you value your money and your peace of mind, stay away from this app

Incomplete transaction after 11 hours
Paid Rs 8094 to a well known sari store in Kanchipuram. App showed transaction was a “success” but was “pending” for the vendor. Not completed even after 11 hours. Money deduced from wallet. Long chat and holding forever for live chat agent was totally useless. Appears to work for small amounts only.

Completely Unusable Customer Support – Trapped in a Bot Loop
If I could give this app zero stars, I would. I’m traveling in India, and I have been completely locked out of reaching a human being for over nine hours. The automated AI "support" agent is absolutely useless, it completely ignores direct questions and traps users in an infinite loop of pre-written, unhelpful scripts.
I have sent emails and left multiple messages, but the company offers zero accountability. When you are dealing with people's money and financial transactions, having zero live customer service is completely unacceptable and unsafe.
Fix your support queue or give users a direct way to speak to a human agent immediately.
I DO NOT recommend this app if you expect any sort of reliable service when things go wrong.
