Good user friendly app but support from bank needs to improve
The support channels from bank need to improve especially when any App related issue becomes a problem blocking access to your funds or inability to pay.
The standard channels that the bank developers are asking people to report are slow in response both phone and email. They need to either setup proper error reporting mechanisms via App itself or setup dedicated support channel for the App instead of routing everything through generic email or generic phone channels.
Just putting this out if anyone encounters this issue of App not launching at all.
If you get this error immediately after biometric verification.
“Aw-snap!
An unexpected error occurred.
Please close the app and retry, while we resolve this issue.”
Do the following.
Goto Settings - General - iPhone storage - search for IDFC app. Delete the documents listed there usually this would be old data and documents. The app will ask you to login again and authenticate again.
The error condition is not traceable in the backend it seems. Also the error message issued implies that this error is on their side and not in the App itself localized to the user device. This is misleading where the user will wait hopelessly trying now and then to see if this gets fixed. Spent a day just uselessly trying. This is not user friendly at all and does not guide the user to appropriate means to fix this or even prompt the user to report this.

Masked account balance
I am not sure whether it’s RBI mandate to mask savings account balance in Home Screen, option to unmask it always would be nice to have. Mostly users login to check balance and see recent transactions. Displaying unmasked balance of all accounts in Home Screen and clicking respective ones taking to recent transactions would be nice to have.

Best bank but with terrible customer service
Its nearly impossible to talk to humans through their customar care and this bank is very annoying will keep calling you every day for some offer .
