If you cannot login to app
If Face ID login stops working / app hangs or throws errors on launch, try this before giving up:
1. Turn off any VPN — this alone fixed it for me. The app seems to block VPN traffic and shows a generic/blank error instead of saying so.
2. Force-quit and retry login with VPN off.
3. Still broken? Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Other Apps > turn off Face ID for this app.
4. Open the Passwords app, search the app/company name (try a few variations), delete any saved passwords/passkeys for it, then check “Deleted” and empty that too.
5. Delete the app, reinstall, and log in fresh with VPN still off.
Hope this saves someone the trouble. I wasted hours troubleshooting before resolved it.
Devs: please surface a real error message instead of a blank/generic one when a VPN is blocking the connection or cannot resolve orphan records.

can never log in
i can never log in thru the app. always gives me an error. i’ve changed passwords, deleted redownloaded app.. nothing budges..
Future Payment Bug
Though several reviewers have previously mentioned the issue regarding scheduling future payments from within the app, the problem persists. This should be a rather trivial fix but Washington Gas does not appear to be overly concerned nor motivated to resolve it. It remains a source of frustration.

INCREASE HAPPENED AFTER LANDLORD AND HIS SPANISH CONTRACTOR SHOWED UP!!

Cant download or share bill
I reported this issue over a year ago, and it still hasn’t been fixed. I need to download and share my monthly bill in PDF format as proof of address, but the app does not provide a working share option. This is an important feature, and I hope the development team will prioritize fixing it in a future update.

Logging not wotking
I can log into my account using the web but when i using the app the log in won’t work keeping saying network error or it super laggy after 5+ attempts.
Loading
Takes forever to load the app and to log on to the app. Needs improvements and doesn’t work with VPN on
Upgrade to new app version
I am trying to pay my bill but it keeps saying please upgrade to the new app version. I come on here and there is no new app version? I’m all up to date. I don’t understand. Never had issues before.
Select Payment Method
Not intuitive. Why not add a radio button? All other Pay Bill selections have radio buttons.
Always trouble logging in
Nothing against the company itself but I always have trouble logging in the app. I have to change my password every time, despite saving it to autofill. It keeps timing out when I request to change password (I have good coverage and ample WiFi). The FaceID option doesn’t kick in even when I click the link.

Can’t Log In- MFA Does Not Work
Every time I enter the MFA code sent by text, it takes me back to the MFA choice screen to repeat the process…so I can’t even access my account.
Too small and too slow
The app size is not formatted to fit my large iPad screen, which would help me see my bills, plus it took too long to open.
Washington Gas payment
I love this app. It’s very easy to navigate through and it took less than 2 minutes to process my payment.
Disappointed
Was charged twice as much as I should have been charged!
Can’t Download Bills
I like to download my bills so I can consider costs over time. However, the Washington Gas app does not have this simple feature that all my other bills do. One has to login to the website to download bills. So, why have an app?
Not working
This app is not working while outside USA. I have no way to pay while on vacation 6 months outside country
Useless support
For two years I haven’t been able to log into this app or its website despite having a valid, active account. Every time I call support I get the runaround. I hate it.
Crashes out
The app crashes out a lot. I tried making a payment twice and it hung up and said i needed the latest version of the app. I already have the latest version of the app.
