The App has made managing my health so easy.
The MyMountSinai app has made managing my health so easy. It is wonderfully convenient for tracking medical records and prescription refills, as well as scheduling, changing, or canceling appointments. Communication is seamless—my physician sends me messages directly, and I can easily message them back. Having instant access to my vaccination dates, test results, and medication changes right on my phone is invaluable.
I am 74 years old, and all of my doctors are with Mount Sinai. Beth Israel at 10 Union Square NY.NY, has truly been my second home for the past 17 years. Whenever an issue arises, the staff always finds a supportive solution. The MyMountSinai app works perfectly for me—I no longer have to call the clinics because all my healthcare information is right at my fingertips!

All in one —AT ONCE’
I love MyChart! It’s the best thing since sliced bread. All my medical info available to me the moment it is processed! I rely heavily on it to plan my medical future!
Can’t join video visits
Second time in two months had a telehealth appointment and logged into MyMount Sinai. Never got through to the visit for two different Doctors appointments. Can’t call an office to tell them of the difficulties
Excellent User Interface
Everything works smoothly. Intuitive functions. And it does not crash or lock-up.
Does not work overseas. VPN needed
The app does not connect from outside US. For example I am traveling in Europe and want to pay my bill or see my test results. I cannot without a VPN app on my phone. I imagine the app owners did this for security. But I’d argue that downloading a sketchy VPN makes the app less secure than the vanilla app running on iOS. This happens only with MtSinai. My other MyChart providers do not have the same problem

Not a good option for those who are AuDHD.
While app accessibility simplifies scheduling, it can be very challenging for those with intellectual disabilities. There can be a lot of moving parts, including myriad referrals, messages, texts, and phone calls which can be crushing. The default should not be “free access” for all referrals to contact patient, it should be the reverse. It is very deleterious and irresponsible of Mt. Sinai to proceed without taking us with needs in consideration.
