Update

The app repeatedly said it needs and update and sends you back to the App Store…pay your programmer to fix it

Sucky app

"chat with Sara" needs to be updated or find a human who can be a virtual assistant. This app wouldn’t let me provide my feedback bc it was negative.. so I’m proving feedback in the app store for everyone to read. DONT download this app. It’s cheaply made and the quality isn’t even basically good.

Not as good as it used to be even.

This is the worst app. Didn’t save my info from before the upgrade. Made me retype everything because they were too lazy to add auto input like other apps. Then had to guess at which of the results was my provider until I “got it right”. Stupid.

Thankful

Thankful for all those that are still working to restore power. Prayers to all those hanging in there.

Waste of Time

Does Not Work When You Need It Most

The download for this app is huge. Worse yet, it does not work when you need critically important information. It is slow in bringing up chat with a service teams. The outage maps are slow if not impossible to load using cellular accounts…when home WiFi has no power. You’d think that Oncor would have made the app lean and functional for times when power is out and demand is high. But they’re a government-backed monopoly with no incentive to serve the end users. Poor performing. Don’t bother.

Cannot put in address or retail provider

Tried entering my address and was told to put an address that was part of my energy providers service area. I think I know where I live and I think I know who provides my energy. Sigh.

Repot outage doesn’t work

Will fail every time there is an outage report saying billing entity information submitted is incorrect. I used the name this application automatically provided me when typing in the it in.

Useless as the app doesn’t even allow you to build a profile with info required either.

less than useless for the security minded

app refuses to utilize the CONFIGURED DEFAULT BROWSER. you are left with the vendor’s data mining browser! that said, the databases seem to be never updated. i cannot add my location because none of my providers, past or present pass muster. good luck folks

They hate their customers

This app doesn’t need to exist. They do not care that your power is out. Everything is automated and they do everything they can to prevent you from getting updates. Thank god I’m paying 30% more in 2024, and have no choice but to use this absolute dumpster fire.

Functions

I got tired of refreshing oncor’s webpage to see their message reading “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”, and I saw their tweet promoting this app to stay updated on outages. This app is a really great new way to read their message that says “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”. Borderline revolutionary.

They should further raise their energy prices to expand on this concept- maybe an AI chatbot that says cool stuff like “At this time we do not have an estimated time of restoration”. You’re doing great Oncor

Nonfunctional, worthless

This app is nonfunctional. I am not even able to setup my location, which is required, because of constant pop up errors. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced an app that is this unusable.

near useless. crashes. freezes. buggy.

buggy. Not ready for prime time. not ready for anytime.

Horrible App

I wish I could give it a zero star rating. Impossible to set up. Tries to force me to enter an incorrect home address. When I gave up and selected the address they forced on me, the App rejected it because it was incorrect. The App will not let me enter my actual correct address. The ONCOR App won’t let me select ONCOR as my retail provider.

They don’t even have my provider in the system

This is a total waste of my time. It’s required that I put my provider into the system. I have tried to communicate to them that it’s not in the system and they don’t even respond. So I’ve given up and writing this review on my experience. They don’t seem really to care at all.

The biggest crooks

What is the point of conserving energy when you still charge an arm and leg and can’t restore power in a timely manner in triple digit weather?! Oncor is a ripoff!

Useless

Can’t even get signed up. Literally looking at my electric bill for account numbers and app says invalid information.

Don’t waste your time

Complete waste of time, you have some virtual assistant you have to text first, and even though all your info is on the app, you have to start all over with each and every computer or person you text. The outage map doesn’t work, you have go through all the steps again just to find out they haven’t updated or do not know. Save time and effort just go to the website

Breaks Siri if you allow Speech Recognition Access

Order iOS 16, most speech was broken. Finally figure out that Privacy & Security -> Speech Recognition had MyOncor App Enabled.

My suspicion is that the sending of the speech data to the MyOncor app developers was failing, making any “off phone” Siri request fail.

Stupid updates

So, another app that *REQUIRES* you to download an update before you can use it. Because they have some ‘exciting new features’. Meanwhile I am sitting in the dark from an hours long power outage (so far) and barely functioning cell service (excruciatingly slow transfer rate) and instead of knowing what’s going on now I have to update the $&@&$%# app! 🤬😡
Plus, it’s apparently forgotten my recently used account info. Wasting my battery life and cell data. And time. All because this company won’t allow you to use (potentially) yesterday’s download.
