Impossible to login
New update has logged me out and now requires me to use a browser pop-up to login so I cannot use my saved passkey in my phone. Unusable.

Every time I get transferred to a live agent my side stops working. I either can send my messages or the whole chat box disappears not letting me send messages. I even came to see if it needed to be updated. No luck.

Actual user across multiple businesses
I’ve used toast in a handful of places and it’s literally problematic EVERYWHERE. It can only ever go as fast as your bandwidth, so I hope you have fiber out the gate, sorry all new or small businesses. If you don’t, every busy day will crash your server leaving you in a pile of paperwork and angry customers. Also, US Foods reps get kickbacks for pushing this platform. So is it really even popular? I sure hear a lot of people say “I miss micros/aloha”. God forbid, you need to track down tax info. That’s not great either. I bet customer support is stellar and most likely outsourced like their sales force. Be smart.

Terrible
I log into to see my shift and the app just freezes every time. I try to click on something or close it out, and nothing fix it. Pretty much have to delete and reinstall every time I try to look at my shift. Something has to give

toast literally forces you to download their terribly designed, awful app just to get my W-2. They are literally holding my tax information hostage until I agree to download their awful app. Disgusting behavior from this company. EMAIL ME MY W2 DONT HOLD IT HOSTAGE BEHIND AN APP THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SIGN UP FOR!

Endless issues
Problems with requesting time off. If you select a day to request off, choose your hours, or "all day", and then hit save, it automatically changes it to a week request. If you edit, you see the day off you requested. So what is it? What does the manager see and why make it so hard to understand and read?
Switching companies or refreshing simply doesn't work most of the time making the app almost useless.
New update as of May 2025 is absolutely garbage. Verification was an issue. It feels bloated. Requested days off show 23h 59m, why? You guys fired the wrong people.
Removed another star. It's not that hard to design UI's these days you guys. Don't even get me started with the web design and login issues. Payroll is separate from the main login and confusing to get access to.

Nonfunctional after new update
Since the new update I am no longer to view the shifts I have worked or the amount of money earned during said shifts. I am unable to view previous weeks as well. Very frustrating as the app worked perfectly before.
Change log in glitch
every time I enter the toast app, it shows the main screen for a second and what I’ve earned, and when I do, Face ID, it disappears

Kept asking me to rest my password every time I login. Reset 6 times!! And I cannot use the previous passwords! Very stupid
Trash!!
I’ve never left a review before now, but I had to make an exception given the issues I’ve been having. Absolute trash app! I have changed my number in every way possible, with customer service, my manager, everything! The app refuses to reflect the number change, no matter how many times I log out or uninstall, so my money is just locked away, absolutely inaccessible. If you’re reading this , do yourself a favor and just open a bank account, this system is just absurd and completely unacceptable!

App not syncing
Just say I’m dissatisfied would be an understatement, I followed all their suggestions. Hard starting deleting changing passwords, checking emails, checking phone number and still after weeks I have no access. What were they thinking?
Not for employees!!!!!
Most of the stuff is restricted by your employer can’t use the app for nothing pointless
