100% scammers!
Ive use this app for a while now and ive been having problem with sending the money. This time i sent money to my friend and it says sent! After waiting for hrs i reached out to the customer service! They said they will try to resolved it. After 1 weeks of waiting they send me of screenshot of some random weird and not the amount and information of mine. And said it is resolved! This app is a scam! Dont waste your time!!!!! I have screenshot and records of this whole incident!!! Now they wont try to resolved my case and wont refund my money... never trust this company !! Scammers! Fraud! Inwish theres a way to get my money back!!!!

Poor support and clunky app
I have been on the waitlist for months. I’ve not been able to login again. It does not let me log out. I made an account on my wife’s phone and manage to get access without being on the waitlist. It seems as though this waitlist is random and indefinite.
Terrible at typing to create an account
I downloaded this app because they said it has the best rates but when I tried to create an account, I put my phone number so I can receive the code to register, the code never came to my phone number even after resending the code 15 times. Finally I received notifications for the code like an hour later. But now I can’t put my phone number to register because I did so many attempts. I tried to many ways to register with no success. Well I guess I’ll keep using WR and Remity.

Unprofessional service
The customer service is extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I found them untrustworthy and very disappointing to deal with. The whole experience was an absolute waste of time, and I would not recommend this app to anyone.
Very poor onboarding process
Once you open an acc, you have to upload your documents to verify your identity - which is great. But once you start asking for the additional information, he’ll broke lose. One agent(robot) will join the chat without even reading the previous conversation and just tells you to do something totally different from what the other agent (robot) told you to do. The app ain’t worth the hustle to be honest - try something else.. this ain’t it

I tried signing up for Nala, but for some reason my account couldn’t be verified. That’s fine—I understand that verification issues can happen. What isn’t acceptable is the customer service. After requesting that my account and all of the personal data I submitted be deleted, I’ve only been getting the runaround. It’s been almost a week, and nothing has been resolved. I expected much better support, especially when it comes to handling account and personal data deletion requests.

Worst App, No Transparency, Unexpected Requests For Sensitive Information, Poor Customer Service
Read this first, If you are considering registering with Nala.
If you’re not comfortable sharing your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, your DRIVERS LICENSE, a selfie, your PAYSTUB, your IRS BUSINESS REGISTRATION LETTER, BANK STATEMENT, and potentially even more personal documents, then think twice before registering.
Based on my experience, Nala did not ask me for all of this information during the initial registration process. Instead, they requested it later, one piece at a time. Had they asked for everything upfront, I would never have created an account.
I only used the app to send a total of $2 to myself using my own bank card through Apple Pay. After that, I was repeatedly asked for additional verification documents ( Proof of income). I provided, a PAYSTUB, and my IRS BUSINESS REGISTRATION LETTER. Even after providing all of that, I was still asked for more information. Mind you, they already had my DRIVERS LICENSE and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
The experience left me frustrated and embarrassed. It felt like there was no clear end to the verification requests
This is my first time coming across an African money transfer app that asked people for their SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I provided it, along with my DRIVERS LICENSE, my PAYSTUB, and my IRS BUSINESS REGISTRATION LETTER. Yet they still asked for more information. At that point, I decided I would not provide anything else because I had no idea what documents they would ask for next — whether in a few hours or the next day. I’m only using the app to send my own money to myself. I’m not applying for a mortgage or personal loan, so I don’t understand why I was asked to provide so many sensitive documents. If they won’t allow me to continue using the app, they should simply close my account. Enough is enough.
In my opinion, if an app requires this level of verification, it should clearly disclose all of those requirements before someone signs up — not after they have already created an account and submitted multiple sensitive documents.
This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a money transfer app, and based on my experience, I will not recommend it. Because It feels like they’re more interested in collecting people’s sensitive personal information than actually providing a money transfer service.
I repeat, I will not recommend it.

I have been using send wave for over 10 years, till wakaanza umama. Now I’m with Nala and I’m very content.
FRAUD
I have send money with them and they hold my money saying was delivered but the person did not receive it , appalling service and lack of customer service with policies known only by them ! They do not treat customers properly, customer should be treated properly not telling me their policies etc… the policies are not clear or published. This app needs to be reported so people won’t face problems. RUN AWAY

This app WAS good but not anymore. My account stated temporarily unavailable since Oct 2025. I contacted customer service and I was given a run around despite sending all required information. Their customer service is not prompt it’s like nobody knows what they are doing there. I met Benjamin Fernandez who is the owner in Boston during the 2023 Marathon and he kept promoting this app and actually help me download it to my phone. Please fix your issues with the same energy you promoted your app. Thanks

If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst financial services app I have ever used. I waited close to a month for them to verify me so I could start sending money. It ended up being a long back and forth with constantly changing requirements. Customer service was absolutely awful. Each person said something different each time. Finally gave up after I realized they had no intent to help me.

I do not recommend using this app because they refused to give my money
In a nutshell I had sent money to a number that doesn’t exist. The transfer was cancelled then the money reversed to Nala. However Nala refused to refund because they don’t process reversals anymore.
I have used this app for two years every month.
