Complex Verification Process, Eventually Fixed
Edit: Company finally verified my account. Still I wish it didn’t have to take this long. Good exchange rates though.
If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst financial services app I have ever used. I waited close to a month for them to verify me so I could start sending money. It ended up being a long back and forth with constantly changing requirements. Customer service was absolutely awful. Each person said something different each time. Finally gave up after I realized they had no intent to help me.

I do not recommend using this app because they refused to give my money
In a nutshell I had sent money to a number that doesn’t exist. The transfer was cancelled then the money reversed to Nala. However Nala refused to refund because they don’t process reversals anymore.
I have used this app for two years every month.
I will not use it anymore. Poor customer service

Be careful with these people
Here I what they said after trying to send 2$ using Apple Pay to Kenya.
They also said that they would delete the account and after 96 weeks, my account is still with them😭😭

Customer Service is the poorest I’ve ever seen
Don’t expect prompt response if there is an issue with your transfer. I’ve been using this app for a long time, I had an issue and nobody was ready to attend to it.

Nala is great… when it works
Nala is great as it has some of the best exchange rates compared to other apps on the market. However it very freely has issues sending to mobile money providers in Cameroon. Often in the moments I need it most it doesn’t seem to work. Also sometimes fund get delayed for hours or even days and I don’t know if it going to go through, which then also means I can’t send the money to the person through other means because I never know for sure weather it will go through (and then I’ll have a duplicate transaction), or it won’t (and I still need to find another way to send the money). Unfortunately because of its issues sending money (in Cameroon for sure), I can’t give it a high rating because I just so frequently am unable to use it these days

Why is my account suddenly showing account temporarily unavailable
Disgusted
I opened an account by word of mouth. I verified myself fully and began sending funds to my husband in west Africa. It wasn’t even for a week that all of a sudden my account was paused. They asked me for bank account info I sent it and everything else they asked for I explained my relation and was willing to send proof of that but they didn’t want it then they decided to close my account due to “security “ this eastTanzanian company has something against west African countries and it’s disgusting and discriminatory. But it is fine I learned they have lousy exchange rates anyway. Don’t bother with these people they will tie up your funds for no real reason.

Great app (sometimes deceptive rates)
Been using the app for a few weeks its works great but their compare rates feature (liked at first) is very deceptive about other companies rates.
They occasionally lower other apps transfer mobile exchange rates in order to make it look like they have the best rate on the market, which is super unethical in my opinion. Either be honest about rates or remove the feature all together
