No free $40 to sign up
I signed up for free & it said by doing so I would get $40 sign up bonus but of course I didn’t. Not sure if I’ll keep the card when it comes or not
Does not honor their own terms
I received multiple letters - both in the mail and in my account - that my account would have the monthly fee waived because i completed a direct deposit. The fee was still charged.
Do not get this app
As soon as I put some money on here it all of sudden couldn’t verify my identity it was working perfectly fine before I put money on there
Overdraft protection gone wrong/ hard to reach customer service
I’ve been wit Netspend for a while so i wasn’t even sure about the overdraft protection because I put everything in my savings and when I know I’m finna spend I transfer. So there was an unauthorized charge from Amazon for $11.99 that was over the overdraft limit which is $10. So now my account was negative $31.43 but Amazon later that day because they were notified by me that that charge wasn’t authorized, issued a refund for 11.99. But my account was still charged for the overdraft which left the account $19.44 overdrawn. So I contacted a call representative which was hard to understand and he was hard at understanding English, which was really hard for me because I already was waiting on hold for 30min.

Locked my account and never opened it even after I gave all of my information costumer service lied multiple times about the account being reopened kept asking for a lot of different information each time made me super uncomfortable
Worst purchase ever !
I couldn’t even pay with a certain amount I needed for a online purchase , apparently it charges fees for everything even in store purchases also after buying the card in store , couldn’t even add my money to my cash app account as final option since it did not let me use the card at all 👎
Bad customer service
Had the worst experience with their customer service. The app had problems with activation of my card, called customer service to help me since the problem is on their end. The representative I talked to was very rude and kept cutting me off while I was speaking. He also made it sound like I couldn’t understand simple instructions. I kept telling him that the app is not working properly, but he just kept on insisting that I probably was doing something wrong. In the end, problem was never resolved. I don’t recommend this service.

Can’t login and nobody can. Says needs to verify identity but absolutely nobody in the United States can login to their account so you need to fix it asap

i cash deposited $123 and the fee was 3.75 somewhere like that and when i come home to login to my account it says couldnt verify identity and i cant use my funds for what i need to so these people are scammers, also last i dealt with these people i bought a 100$ giftcard and customer service did not help me at all. im done with these people i have lost 200+ with these people. if you guys read this help me solve my problem asap!!

Fees for everything! The card doesn't work at the “free ATMs”. Horrible overseas customer service. App doesn't work sometimes.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!
I was calling about a restriction on my account that was preventing me from using my funds and my Apple Pay and everytime I would explain the situation to customer support I would get hung up on or brought back to an automated system! Very unprofessional and very frustrating!!! The customer service team was rude and seemed like they were trying to purposely avoid helping me! I just made this account this year btw and I’m thinking about closing it very soon. I don’t recommend this bank to anyone and I mean ANYONE!

SCAM.
If I could give 0 stars I would. If this company ever sends you a card in the mail just throw it away. They are requesting I send them my SSN over email, which is unsafe and unencrypted... Extremely unprofessional. Crazy I'm having such a hard time withdrawing the only $42 in my account because I wanted to give them a chance and now they refuse to give me my money because my account isn't "fully verified." Which doesn't make sense, because why would you allow a deposit to be made then? Will never trust this company again.

The New Update Rocks - Great Company!
I have been a Netspend customer since January, and love the company. The new update is absolutely wonderful, and even more convenient and way better. Now, I can add a virtual card on my own if I accidentally delete it, or if I need to replace my card. The new app design is well-organized, and well thought out which is super nice!
All we need now is a secured credit card option, and mobile check deposit option and we will be golden - hopefully those features will come soon. I still have my local bank due to the lack of features like the mobile check deposit but Netspend is such a good option! Happy to see a new app design, and new features finally coming!!!

I spoke to an agent and everything and this app is one of those fake mirrored apps and not what it’s supposed to be. I don’t even have an option to report it anywhere!
