Awful
I’ve been using Nextiva for my very busy business since April 2026. I absolutely hate it. I’ve had enough and I’m switching to another service.
App is very buggy and slows.
Text messaging is awful… buggy and slow.
A LOT of calls come in, where there is no audio on the other side. So you have to hang up and dial them again….
Which is a big problem… because When a call come in… and you hang up, it takes about 1-2 min for the call to show in the call log. So let’s say you miss a call… and you want to dial them back.. you have to sit there and stare at app until the log updates.
So you missed a customer call and you have no idea who called for 1-2 minutes … which is enough time for your potential customer to dial the next competitor on the list.
When a text message comes in, you hit reply and type a message and when you hit send, it actually didn’t reply to sender and created its own new message and it says “not found” in sender… as if you sent it with no recipient.
While you’re on the phone with someone on speakerphone, it repeatedly comes out of speakerphone on its own… something that doesn’t happen if I’m on a regular phone call or WhatsApp call… so it’s not a sensor issue.. definitely a bug in the app.
Very disappointed with Nextiva. I’ve tried a couple of these for my business and Nextiva was by far the worst.

Be careful, before getting this services. They increase price frequently and service quality goes down!!

Exceptional service
I relocated my business and contacted Nextiva for a virtual phone system. The customer service and professionalism has been exceptional. Works very well.
Unreliable
This app is incredibly inconsistent. Drops calls with full service. Doesn’t let me make calls sometimes. Just really disappointing
Not working out for me
I cannot make phone calls out once I leave my Wi-Fi. I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro. I have had several reps try to figure it out. Once I leave Wi-Fi call fails and says check my Internet connection. This happens every single time I leave my My Home home. My service is good. I’m able to make phone calls outside of the app and stream etc whatever.
I’m hoping someone will figure this out because it’s been a few months of this happening. The times that it does work outside of my Wi-Fi, which is very rare, but it happens and I get lucky but unfortunately, nobody can hear me as if I am in the middle of a rainforest but no service but that’s not the case on my end.
Aside from that everything else seems to be really well organized, and the people that work here are very nice. If we can get this to work, my review would be five stars and I would change it.

This app is absolutely horrible! All calls I try to answer on my mobile get dropped, cannot call out, and texts constantly returned with error message. Resolution times of IT team are horrendous and it took me more time the resolve my latest issue than it took for the issue to reoccur. All and all horrible for doing business as I cannot use phone outside of office.

this is the worst phone service I’ve ever had. Cannot get through to anyone on support ever. I’ve never spoken to a real person. The phone calls come through 3 times and the call forwarding doesn’t work. BE WARNED!! Save yourself the headache and go with any other service
Horrible, do not use
We have been trying to get texting working for over a year. They are incompetent and hurting our small business. We have reached out repeatedly with no resolution.
Nextiva is not good. Go with another platform!
My organization had high hopes when it came to getting rid of the landlines. If I could, I would go back and dissuade our organization from choosing Nextiva. The app, both on mobile AND desktop rarely work. It will log you out of your account once a week. When you are logged in, the app does not ring and will sometimes send an email that you have a missed call. The app has permissions on both mobile and desktop to ring; however, majority of the time I do not get any notification. A refund for the amount of hassle and problems this platform has caused our organization would only scratch the surface. AVOID!!!!!

Works for calls only, and only sometimes
This app is awful. Extremely buggy. Calls will ring through, sometimes, but not always. Sound quality is hit or miss, even if you have a great internet or cell connection. No voicemail on the app. Notifications NEVER clear. Forget saving a name for a number, that just fails too. Blocking spam numbers is also pointless, because even though they show as blocked they still ring. If transferring a number wasn’t a huge hassle we would be gone from nextiva in a minute.

Easy and Convenient
I love being able to take work calls from anywhere just by having an App on my cell phone! It makes life of a working mom easier!

Call quality is good. I think the UX is clean. Havent ran into any issues.
Would not recommend
Used this through work and never had anything good to say. I don’t get any of my voicemails, they only go to my email and I have to download the audio file because it does not come through on the app. It says you can record calls but the app is so poorly designed there’s no where to even record. Do not use this.
