Inaccurate data

My data has been inaccurate for awhile now. First it was my daily steps. Now is my sleep. I’ve reached out, no one can fix it.

Part of my routine

First thing I check when I wake up! Seems very accurate. Don’t love the monthly fee, but I sure do use the app so I can’t really complain. I’ve had it a few years now and only just starting to use some of the other features like logging my meals.

The New Ring

The Oura 5 is a huge upgrade. Highly recommended, even if you already have the 4. I upgraded and it’s totally worth it AF.

Bug issue with Tags

All of a sudden I can’t change the start and end time. If I change one of them then I can’t change the other. The app just freezes up. Very annoying.

Please add Russian language support; it's difficult to use.

So far…Decent

I’ve had the Oura 5 for about 3-4 months so take it as it is. The connection for results seem to be lagging. I wear it everyday through my daily activities. Lately my sleep score hasn’t been updating. I’ve lost connection multiple times where it directs you to place on a charger to reconnect.

I’ll continue wearing it to see if my results progress since I’ve spent the money on it. But so far, it’s been decent. Biggest factor is the look, love the slinger design but looking for more in the numbers.

Walker/Runner

Love how it keeps up with my steps and my daily workout routines!

Great Recovery Tool

I use the Oura ring specifically for recovery and sleep tracking. As a runner who also lifts weights recovery is very important. Oura helps me know is I’m overtraining or can push a little harder.
Top notch for sleep tracking and the best for HRV and Resting Heart Rate. I’ve tried other trackers like WHOOP and find Oura to be at the top of them all.
The app is super easy to use and understand.

4 Rings, 4 Manufacture Defects. Stay Away.

My wife and I each had to get our initial Oura Ring replaced soon after receiving them for connectivity issues, confirmed to be manufacturing defects. Happened again with replacement rings. Gave up after that and sold the last replacement rings, didn’t want to risk falling out of their very limited warranty window and being stuck with yet another useless ring. Also, they send you a refurbished ring… not even a new one.

Additionally, the membership situation is pricey and the yearly membership is virtually no discount. And when (not if) your ring breaks, you’re still charged membership while you wait for your new one.

Between the awful manufacture quality, predatory pricing strategies (including charging $100+ more for a more desireable color), awful support (mostly useless AI), and poor warranty coverage… stay away. Do not be a customer of this company.

High Error Rate - Help Feature

Customer Service has a high error rate. Multiple orders for new ring sent incorrectly even with confirming details and chats recording the conversation. Help is accessed via the Oura App.

Payment/Employee

I’ve had nothing but issues with not only purchasing the Oura, but renewing and processing any kind of payment. I’ve been given circular responses and had trouble getting any assistance from this company. When attempting to use a 10% coupon to initially purchase the ring on the website, I was completely unable to use my HSA card after verifying through my card provider that there was no issue with the account and nor the card. The only recommendation I was given was to purchase with my debit card, and file for reimbursement - normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but with all the issues with payment i was already experiencing, I had no confidence in refunds or reimbursement.

In the end, I was never able to get my discount, nor able to order online; I got it from target where they promptly accepted the card that apparently had “issues”.

I could not get my sleep data

Oura team could not help me with my sleep data
I am very disappointed with there help

Spo2 not working

I upgraded from Oura 3 to the Oura Ring 5, but the app is a massive disappointment. Even though I sleep over the 3-hour minimum, the interface glitched and hid my SpO2 data all week, labeling it "Steady." The Oura AI chatbot admitted the app failed to show my data, yet it pulled a 94% average from the cloud backend. Why am I fighting a chatbot to see basic biometrics that my smartwatch tracks flawlessly? Oura masks raw charts behind vague words like "Optimal." If you want transparent data breakdowns, look elsewhere. Considering returning the ring if not going to give metrics I want/need.

Slider edits don’t work. Forced Sleep times inaccurate

Edit again: time in bed. I got in bed at 22:15 & asleep by 22:20. Phone woke me up at midnight. Went back to sleep within 10 minutes . Oura says i got in bed at 02:50a & shows 5 hours of sleep. Sliders only go Less, in an edit. Cant go more. Why? Why cant I slide both directions to enable accuracy?

EDIT: for a team that focuses on tracking all this data no not have a dial or an option to adjust ACTUAL sleep times (or in bed times), shift time zones to match body clock, etc, is kind of growing in frustration. Its a true bummer, and has made the ring an expensive pedometer.
Original review:
Time zone changes. When a person moves through 3 or 4 time zones daily as a flight crew for work, this ring had a difficult time tracking the change at all. It changes the data based on time vs body time. I operate 3 or 4 days a week between hawaii time zone and east coast. Some days my physicsl activity is cut short due to later zone. Would ne nice to have a feature that could see & compare between body clock snd current time zone.
Sleep data, is stumpped if you take a red eye, travel, work variable shifts. A “ xx hour flight” to “time zone X” ?

The best investment I’ve ever made

This was exactly what I needed and more. Can’t take it off

Sleep Tracking Too Sensitive

Ever since Oura changed their sleep tracking algorithms a couple years ago, any movement during sleep shows you awake which gives a poor result of your actual sleep vs time in bed. Unless they give an option to manually correct this, I cannot recommend this tracking device to others.

Helpful app

Finally an easy app for a wearable. My doctor is loving this timely info, so much better than just answering questions when you can show them your reports. Helpful during my healing journey. Thank you.

Presión arterial

Sería muy bueno tener la opción de medir la presión arterial

Stop opening

Really love the ring but after 8 months my app has difficulty to open every day I need to try 10-20times before it open
Every other apps open without difficulty Only the Oura apps don’t know if I will keep it open

I changed to Oura from my Apple Watch and I am much less distracted

It tracks everything I could need and I’m not distracted and the battery lasts five days-ish and that is brilliant
