Easy & Effective

Great and easy app to use to burn extra calories!!!

Response from developer

Thank you for using Paceriva! Happy to hear you enjoy the Japanese Walking method and find it helpful to burn calories and lose weight!

Super!!!

The app is very convenient and easy to use. You choose your interval and start burning calories :)
The reminders to change pace are very helpful, so you don’t forget when it’s time to switch.
It’s more comfortable to start with a slower pace.

Response from developer

Thank you very much for your review! You're right, a workout must start with warming up and end with cooling down. We will definitely implement this option in the Paceriva Japanese Walking app.

Almost perfect. Needs an Apple Watch app.

I came across this app through a recommendation from Claude when I wasn’t happy with another app I was using. Thank you, AI. Honestly, the only feature missing here is a companion Apple Watch app for times I might not want to bring my iPhone with me, like if I’m just walking around the park across the street. This checks every other box for me though.

Response from developer

Thank you for the useful suggestion! We will definitely proceed with an Apple Watch companion app, as it will make Japanese Walking trainings more comfortable.

Makes it easy

Love how after 3 min voice tells you go fast or slow

FAQ

What is the Japanese Walking Method?

The Japanese Walking Method involves alternating between brisk, fast-paced walking for 3 minutes and slower, recovery walking for 3 minutes, repeating this cycle for approximately 30 minutes. This interval approach is designed to turn ordinary walks into effective fat-burning workouts.

What are the key features of this walking app?

The app includes an interval walking timer that guides you through the fast and slow pace changes, a calorie counter to track your workout expenditure, streak tracking to monitor your consistency, and a simple, distraction-free interface. It also integrates with Apple Health.

How much does this app cost?

While the app offers basic functionality for free, certain features like the calorie calculator and streak tracking require a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. You can explore these features through a free trial before committing to a purchase.

Who is this app perfect for?

This app is ideal for individuals who are short on time but want efficient exercise, those easing into fitness with a desire for low-impact progression, people returning from injury who need controlled intensity, and anyone aiming for weight loss through structured walking.

How is interval walking better than regular walks?

Interval walking is considered more effective than regular walks because the structured alternation of speeds adds gentle intensity to the cardio workout. This makes each minute more productive for calorie burning and cardiovascular improvement without increasing the impact on your body.
